Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW32 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW32. Next week will be a long and drawn-out game week lasting pretty much the full week. Great for those who like their daily football fix drip-fed to them, but for FPL managers (and we’re all still those right?) it will feel like death by 1000 cuts, only to realise you did just fine in the end. That doesn’t change much here though! All we want from you is your predictions, and there is nothing painful about that thankfully! It was a close one this week, real close. Just a single point separates first from second and second from third, but this weeks winner is Hammerfan with a tidy 11pts. Sadly MDB will have to make do with second despite an admirable 10pts. Likewise, third ...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 31 A relatively normal GW, certainly it is if you now consider the norm to be non-stop televised football from 8pm on Friday until 10pm on Monday anyway. Fulham and Wolves kick us off on Friday night, with fantasy interest probably a bit thin on the ground. Saturday is relatively short lived for once with Man City and Leeds at lunchtime, Liverpool seeking revenge on Villa in the 3pm game before Palace welcome local rivals Chelsea at 5.30pm. You get the night off after that. To watch Match of the Day. Sunday is more elongated with Burnley and Newcastle easing us in, literally, as we all find some hoovering or ironing to do instead. Be a good one to earn some brownie points in as the next two look delicious. West Ham and Leicester will go at it at 2....[Read More]
FF247 FPL Team GW31 Welcome to FF247 FPL Team GW31 No case for the defence We realise that it is the headline figure of the gameweek score which is the most important thing and not obivously the nuts and bolts of who did what within. Thankfully. Our defence was wickedly bad this past week. Martinez got 4 in goals thanks to six saves against Fulham and oh but for Tyrone Mings gifting Fulham their goal, we could have had a Martinez special. The back three combined for THREE points – hindered by Azpilicueta’s Zero and *cough* ‘boosted’ by Dallas’ 2. Digne was Joe Average. Speaking of average, Gareth Bale has not often been called that but this past week, he was even sub-average with 1 measly point and DCL, whose form is off a cliff, at least got two. Onto the goo...[Read More]
FPL Captain Picks Gameweek 31 Welcome to FPL Captain Picks Gameweek 31 There will have been a fair bit of disparity in scores last week, across many a mini-league, and most of it will have simply come down to owning / captaining Kane. Out of the top 5 captained players amongst ‘live’ teams (Kane, Bruno, Salah, Bamford & KdB) only Kane made it into the weekly FPL ‘Dream Team’. The rest of it was made up with the likes of Pereira, Trezeguet, Mendy and Callum Robinson (who?!). There will be no prizes for guessing how most of our panel from last week fared then, outside of our Kane picker; 1. Matt – Kane, 26 points. Top spot, by a mile, thanks to 2 goals and all 3 bonus points. Should have been fairly obvious really though; he was playing vs Newcastle… ...[Read More]
Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW31 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW31. GW30 started in an unlikely fashion. Few expected a West Brom win at Stamford bridge and not surprisingly not a single person correctly predicted the 2-5 scoreline. Thankfully there were a fair few run-of-the-mill results that meant it took 14pts to take the number one position this week. Otieno was one of only two of you to correctly pick Pulisic as the first goalscorer and it was this that pushed his score to the aforementioned 14pts and seal the top spot. Nice. Iggy came a close second with 11pts, with Tornado (who also went with Pulisic FGS) and AllanBrallan tied in third. Well done all of you! And so; Many Congratulations to Otieno. Please email us here; contact@fantasyfootbal...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 30 You don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone… After days upon days, weeks upon weeks, months upon months of seemingly endless football we were all either exhausted or just simply indocrinated. To the point that the odd day sans a meaningful game seemed… well, just odd. Back to reality perhaps? Don’t bet on it, certainly short term you can’t as we have GW’s already being spread out to suit the TV audience and do not think for a second that this new phenom will stop after this season. As for this weekend itself it is spread over just 3 days, but as is the norm now the games are handily spread out so that not one overlaps another. Funny that, isn’t it… In theory you can sit down on Saturd...[Read More]
FF247 FPL Team GW30 Welcome to FF247 FPL Team GW30 Remember FPL? A week is a long time in politics. And in football, well times that by a billion for an FPL gameweek. That’s BEFORE we factor in that it’s an international break. AND we’re off the back of a woeful gameweek with only four fixtures. We can forgive ourselves for putting FPL to the back of our minds for a bit. However, we are now approaching GW30 and before we discuss that, we must look all the way back to GW29 to see how good/bad/indifferent it was for us. We scored 39 points and the average was 25. That’s all right we suppose. Although we did have Gareth Bale who didn’t play and no sub to replace him (great!). That might put a bit of positive spin on it we guess. But it was a red arrow regrettably – from 408,682 to 433,614 – a...[Read More]
FPL Tips Gameweek 30 Welcome to FPL Tips Gameweek 30 Tips can be very subjective and indeed not always relevant to each and every person reading an article. Some managers love a conservative, safe choice while others may a tad more daring or indeed reckless and indulge in high risk/reward punts. With that in mind we have changed things slightly this week. While we have kept the structure of the article the same we have asked four of our number, namely Swirly, Gallant Pioneer, Kop and Cookie to tip a play for each category. As the regular readers will know by now, Kop is very much a conservative FPL manager, risk free. Cookie is the opposite – reckless, mad, loves a punt and doesn’t mind hitting for it. Or them. While Swirly and GP lie somewhere in the middle. Therefore hopefully there is s...[Read More]

FPL Captain Picks Gameweek 30 Welcome to FPL Captain Picks Gameweek 30 Last week, we looked to our ‘elders’ to guide us through the Capo picks, with a challenge for them to stay awake whilst doing so. Well, stay awake they did, and it was a thrilling contest in the end; 1. Kop — Jesse Lingard, 24 points A bit like West Ham themselves, Kop & Jesse were unlucky not to come away with more but a goal, an assist and 2 bonus points saw the pair over the line. 2. The Gallant Pioneer — Alexandre Lacazette, 22 points Something of a left-field pick, seemingly, maybe GP has got his Capo mojo back. 3. Mito — Harry Kane, 14 points The popular pick (Kane, not Mito), sneaked in with a late return. 4. Cookie — Lewis Dunk, 12 points No idea why he is so obsessed with captaining defenders b...[Read More]
Mason Mount a lock for Euro 2021 Not only has Mason Mount been a lock for most fantasy teams of late after making a berth in the Chelsea midfield his own, it appears that he is a certainty to start at the heart of the England team for Euro 2021. Gareth Southgate has long been an admirer of Mount from his days in charge of the England under-21 team, and the evidence of the latest international window suggests the team will be built around the Chelsea star for years to come. Mount featured in all three wins to kick off 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying in the best fashion with nine points from nine available – and he really caught the eye too. Mount created eight chances in his 45 minute first-half performance in a 5-0 win over San Marino last week. He then scored the second in a 2-0 win ...[Read More]
Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW30 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW30. Not many games and not many points. Or at least that’s how it was for yours truly with a grand total of zero points! Thankfully there are plenty of you with far better skills when it comes to predicting the results of football matches, which is probably why I’m the bookie’s favourite customer. Quite how our very own LoudAtlas managed 10pts (a good score in a normal game week) is beyond me, but he did and it was enough to secure the top spot. Skills to pay the bills. Second place was a tie between Gear, Elderzadi, Bejo and WhoIsRonaldo who all finished on an almost as impressive 8pts. Well done all! League table Our Matt is still holding onto the top spot with anot...[Read More]
