FF247 FPL Team GW21 Welcome to FF247 FPL Team GW21 meh /mɛ/ informal exclamation: meh expressing a lack of interest or enthusiasm. “meh, I’m not impressed so far” 48 points in GW20 and six above the average. ‘Meh’ about covers it. Our team did secure a green arrow in the overall rankings this week moving up to 1,141,741 from 1,201,188 – 59,447 places. Woo. Hoo. We know, we know! “It’s a step in the right direction” / “It’s no red at least” / “The correct side of the average”. Etc. etc. But come on this is boring. We want big scores, flashy jumps. In essence, we want to be the hare not the tortoise! Not looking at it forensically this week – but we had FOUR players with a solitary point in Alex McCarth...[Read More]
Oldest football pro player plays at 54 years old Kazuyoshi Miura, who’s the world’s oldest professional football player, is set to continue playing even though he is 54 years old after extending the contract with his Japanese team Yokohama FC for another reason. And If you have the curiosity of playing at an online casino, then you can register online at one and then use the Bustabit, which is a very simple strategy that you can use. This will definitely help you while you’re playing some of the games available at the casino. You’ll have to check more about this strategy but it’ll surely help you, since it’s easy to learn and to apply on the games. Kazuyoshi Miura is called “King Kazu” by his fans and he is set to play his 36th season as a professional footballer after starting his with Sa...[Read More]
FPL Captain Picks Gameweek 21 The spirit of Guy Sanchez For those unaccustomed to said spirit it usually entails a meandering of the recent hand Guy has been dealt by life (as he knows it). Oft it’s not a good one, but often it’s a funny one. We’ve gone with him from Dayquil days to 12 hour work days, from Covid scares to Everton woes. But why did I immediately think of Guy when I came to write this intro? Mainly because I don’t arrive with good news, but also because the lack of that allows me time to actually write this, albeit perhaps not in the best of moods. But then again who is these days. Actually I was, until about 8.02am on Wednesday morning… I’ll unashamedly summon the spirit of Cookie’s Diary here too… I was awoken at 6.20am with ...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 20 Two days without any football?! It almost feels like we are stuck in some sort of Christmas version of Groundhog Day at the moment. If you missed it then worry not as between GW20 beginning and GW23 ending we now have just 14 days with games on 11 of those and no more than a day to separate any given Gameweek. That’s the theory anyway, whether Covid (or Aston Vila) say otherwise is a different matter. GW20 itself begins on Tuesday with a 6pm double header as Palace welcome West Ham for a good old fashioned London derby and at the same time Steve Bruce will probably continue to lose his marbles at the hands of the slightly more wily Marcelo Bielsa. Arsenal’s (latest) renaissance will be severely tested by the Saints at 8.15pm, whilst ...[Read More]
FF247 FPL Team GW20 Welcome to FF247 FPL Team Gameweek 20 Technically 3 18s So with no chips in play, we navigated Gameweek 19 with NINE double gameweek players and eight within the starting eleven (more on that later) and saw fit to ride it out as we were. The headline is we scored 95 points – a respectable 21 points above the average – but that was dwarfed in comparison to some of the big guns within the community who were clearly clarivoyant in their transferring in of John Stones and his 21-point first match and posted scores of upwards of 130. Bravo! The 95 brought us up in the rankings to 1,201,188 overall and knocking on the door of the top million which in broader terms is poor by our own standards but in the context of our 2020/21 season so far, is actually pretty hand...[Read More]
FPL Captain Picks Gameweek 20 Welcome to FPL Captain Picks Gameweek 20. The Confessional. On Steroids. Given the tight gap between the recent GWs we were starting to feel like we had involuntarily furloughed our entire writing team. We haven’t. Not that they would notice much difference in their pay packets either way! But we miss them, we hope you all do too. And as such we thought it would be nice to hear from them all, be it from their living rooms, bedrooms, sheds or gardens. Or wherever their fed up other half has banished them to in lockdown! Having met Rosco’s Mrs his may be from six feet under. But that’s no excuse. In short, the team wanted to say ‘Hi’ and so we have suggested that they put that to good use with naming a GW20 Captain too. And then the...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 19 Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 19 Some games may occur, don’t ask us which… We’ve written and re-written this about four times now this week. Which, quite frankly, is about three times more than we wanted to. We think that the following is about to happen. But in all honesty if it doesn’t, or if it changes again, please feel free to make up your own narrative and pretend that’s what we bothered to write instead because there will be no 5th! We won’t list the lot (a picture is worth a 1000 words etc) but in short we begin with Wolves vs West Brom at Saturday lunchtime, and then we have 4 more games later on that day, 3 on Sunday, 1 on Monday, 2 on Tuesday, 2 on Wednesday, 1 on Thursday and we ev...[Read More]
FF247 FPL Team GW19 Welcome to FF247 FPL Team GW19 A word to the wise KdB was duty bound to haul in a City descrution of Brighton. Kane and Son likewise against an unprepared Fulham. A clean-sheet for the former’s team was also a given. A Newcastle cleanie plus some Wilson goals against a hapless Sheffield United was a forgone conclusion. Bruno and United would make light of Burnley and it was only a matter of time until we saw his weekly penalty shuffle. And then we all skip happily along to DGW19 with a raft of teams to choose from, we’re all in fine fettle though because we’ve been planning ahead for it for weeks now, safe in the knowledge that even tertiary teams such as Southampton, Leeds and Villa have a double game-week. Villa is a case in point as they did, then t...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 18 Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 18. Remember back when a midweek fixture was an exciting rarity? It is hardly an uncommon occurrence these days and one to which we shall be treated to quite a few more times before the season is up. There are in fact three of these in the next five GW’s and even one of those (DGW19) straddles a midweek. As for this one it begins on Tuesday at 6pm as Sheffield and Newcaste unite to see who can score the least goals. Then at 8.15pm Burnley host half the games captain in the shape of Bruno. At the same time Wolves welcome Everton. Wednesday begins at 6pm with the other halves captain (KdB) hosting Brighton. Spurs (now) welcome a reluctant Fulham at 8.15pm. Arsenal and Palace see us out on Thursd...[Read More]
Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW’s 18 & 19 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW18 and GW19. The hectic Christmas period is behind us and we have 5 weeks’ worth of results to catch-up on. However, as Init showcased in this week’s Fixtures article, upcoming game-weeks are not exactly coming up at a leisurely pace. With that in mind, we will once more be posting a double fixtures list that covers both game-weeks 18 and 19. As always, either post your predictions for both game-weeks in a single post or if you chose to do them separately, please comment on your original post to ensure Matt retains his sanity! Onto the winners! GW13 results – The Winner in GW13 was yours truly! (Rosco), my first time doing so, proving just how trick...[Read More]
FF247 FPL Team GW18 Free Hit The Bollocks Out Of It! Last week saw some highs and lows within the FF247 community. For every grumble at a 40 odd score there seemed to be a success story of an 80 odd. We fell somewhere in the middle as we ended up with 62. A smidgen above the average of 56 and a very modest green arrow of about 15k all pointed to us just about ‘getting away with it’. As for the team itself Captain Kane lead from the front with a 24. Bruno (10), Grealish (7) and JWP (6) kept us afloat elsewhere whilst the most unexpected points came from our sub keeper as Forster clambered off the Covid riddled Saints bench for a 6. The rest made up the numbers, Salah included with 2. Our GW17 Result… We have 2 free transfers and £0.5m in the bank ahead of B(lank)GW18 and a...[Read More]
FPL Tips Gameweek 18 Welcome to FPL Tips Gameweek 18. If memory serves me correct, the first case of Covid in the UK was identified towards the end of last February. Who amongst us thought that 10 months later we’d be sitting here tearing what’s left of our hair out as Covid makes FPL even more challenging than it was before. Oh for the days when all we had to worry about was rotation, now we must try to figure out which City players may have been close contacts of Benjamin Mendy and those big bum Latina’s!! The purpose of this article has always been to tip players but the most important tips I’ll give you this week are, don’t make rigid plans and for the love of god, DO NOT MAKE EARLY TRANSFERS… I don’t care if KdB is going up in price tonight and you won’t be able to afford him if...[Read More]
