PROMOTED TEAM ANALYSIS- FULHAM Introduction The Premier League is back and with it comes three new teams, West Brom, Fulham, and the long-awaited return of Leeds. I will be focusing on the team that have returned at the first time of asking, Fulham. The Cottagers from southwest London were FPL options for us only two seasons ago. I think we all remember having Aboubakar Kamara as our 4.5mln bench fodder forward, with Anguissa being a 4.5mln midfield bench fodder. Fulham were that team we used as cheap budget options, but this season will be different. Kamara is now a 5.0mln midfielder and Anguissa is coming back from a loan at Villareal so I don’t know if Scott Parker will slot him straight back into the side. Scott Parker firstly took over as caretaker manager but couldn’t keep Fulham in ...[Read More]
PRE-SEASON HUB 2020/21 Introduction Gone are the days of Premier League teams jetting off to China, Malaysia, Thailand and Australia for their pre-season preparations – at least for this pre-season. Here’s hoping things in the world are again on the right side of normal this time next season and I for one will never again take the Premier League Asia Trophy for granted. In this shortened period between the 2019-20 season ending and the 2020-21 season beginning (consider that Manchester United & Manchester City players will not even be through passport control with their families as they head on holiday whilst Everton, Liverpool and Tottenham commence a stretch of their legs with their first pre-season matches), I will again document the ins and outs and ups and downs of all 20 Premier...[Read More]
Bundesliga Fantasy Football 2020/21 GW16 DEADLINE FRIDAY 15th January 19:30PM With the Bundesliga seemingly taking over the bulk of the chat on site a couple months ago when it was the only fantasy game in town, we decided that we should give it a home for the season, after a bit of coaxing. 😉 We won’t be posting a weekly article, but we will update the screenshots and the links within this article so you are getting relevant info for each gameweek as it comes along. We did come up with a set piece table and a pair of trackers to help you out as you build your teams. Where to join > Fantasy Bundesliga Site the site is still not open for the upcoming season, but you can register now if you wish. We suspect that it will open up in the next few days. FPL INTERVIEW: BATTLE OF THE SEXES I am joined in the hot seat(s) by two FF247 champions, Carolyn and Rosco. They battled tooth and nail, right to the end and finished 1st and 2nd in the FF247 Regulars League. This is a league that many of us prioritise highly as we battle it out with our ‘online mates’, our fellow site comrades who we meet with daily to share thoughts, opinions and advice. It was Rosco who emerged victorious as he came with a late charge in GW38 to take the coveted title from odds on favourite Carolyn. Both had FPL career-defining seasons, posting best ever finishes. Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome Carolyn and Rosco. Carolyn, you had an amazing season. 2378pts, global rank 5,373, in the top 40k from GW11 onwards, smashed your personal best rank. Congratul...[Read More]
Fantasy Premier League – Ones To Watch in 2020/21 With the 2020/21 Premier League season just weeks away it is time to start looking at building that Fantasy Football team. It can be crucial to get off to a good start as when you’re chasing the pack you can make some pretty risky decisions when it comes to team selection! We all know the superstar players we want in our teams – Kevin De Bruyne, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Mo Salah etc… However, getting some hidden gems in can be just as crucial. Last season, Nick Pope, the Burnley goalkeeper, would have netted you 15 clean sheets and 170 points which no one could have predicted. Danny Ings for Southampton was another revelation after an awful time at Liverpool. He finished as the second top goal scorer with 22 goals and a huge 1...[Read More]
A guide to watching the 2020/21 Premier League season When Premier League football was put on a four-month hiatus for Coronavirus, it seemed like it might never return. However, last season did eventually conclude ‘behind closed doors’ in July, with most of the remaining games televised. Just seven weeks later, the new 2020/21 campaign kicks off on September 12th and it could see a boom in viewers tuning in to cheer it on. Thankfully the TV broadcast rights are well scattered across several providers, with all offering online streaming options for subscribers. In this guide we developed with Broadband Genie, we’ll first identify some important pointers for ensuring your broadband can keep pace with the action, before highlighting the key broadcasters vying for your support. Pre...[Read More]
THE SCOTCH CORNER – SCOTTISH PREMIERSHIP FANTASY FOOTBALL TIPS 2020/21 GP said he had a few things to say and that he’d just post it in the chat, and then he emailed me this and asked if it was article worthy. Well, if it looks like an article, reads like an article and is as long as an article, then it probably is an article. Can’t wait to read all about Joel Campbell and so here it is, GP’s Tips. Aberdeen The Dons have been very coy with their team news in each of their two friendlies so far. They lost 2-1 to St Johnstone with Bruce Anderson (£3.8) scoring (after which manager McInnes said that the youngster would be seeing a lot of first team action this season). Craig Bryson (£3.8) scored the only goal in their 1-1 draw at Hibs on Saturday and the experienced ex-Derby...[Read More]
FPL INTERVIEW: The Secret of Success During my ‘FPL holiday’ I wanted and needed time away from the site – not just because the post lockdown period was intense and over the top, nor indeed that I wanted time away from you guys. I needed to stop, ‘freshen up’, think about the site and how to start the new season on FF247. I needed to ‘get away’ and to focus rather than get involved in CL Fantasy or indeed Scottish Fantasy. Credit to those that played or are still playing, but I needed that breathing space. It has dawned on me for a long time that I am not a great FPL player. Sure I’ve had one great season and a load of fun along the way. But good managers deliver again and again and again. What am I doing wrong? I searched ‘The Secret of Success’ and this is what popped up: “The secret of ...[Read More]
FPL is live 2020 Welcome to FPL is live 2020/21 It’s time to set your team up, re-join leagues and get tinkering! Although it’s worth noting that the actual Premier League fixtures are still to be released and likely won’t be until after the Champions League and Europa League have completed. For FPL the biggest change appears to be the deadline changing to 90mins before kick-off – seemingly in an attempt to combat those annoying and often false team leaks. The Chips have remained the same as has the budget of 100mln. The biggest changes seem to have come in player prices and in some cases, classification. Some of the more obvious changes at first glance are: Players now classed as midfielders: Aubameyang (Arsenal) – price 12.0mln Greenwood (Man Utd) – price 7.5mln Rashford (Man Utd) – pric...[Read More]
UEFA Champions League Fantasy Football 2019/20 Semi-Final and Final Simples… Hello everyone and welcome to UEFA Champions League Fantasy Football 2019/20 Semi-Final and Final. Right then, forget that Scottish nonsense absolutely no nonsense this time as we have little time to waste, this one will be over in the blink of an eyelid. No more dragging GW’s out over weeks and months for the Champions League, this is bish-bash-bosh at its best. Or worst. If you’ve got this far with it you probably don’t need us to tell you what the craic is with sub and capo changes or how to order your bench. If you still do, then quite frankly… tough sh*t  In short we have two semis and a final, starting on Tuesday and concluding on Sunday. So let’s crack on with the v...[Read More]
UEFA Champions League Fantasy Football 2019/20 Last 16 – 2nd Leg, Part 2! Hello everyone and welcome to UEFA Champions League Fantasy Football 2019/20 Last 16 – 2nd Leg, Part 2!. Right then, forget that Scottish nonsense, real football is back on Friday! (In fairness it’s doing a roaring trade and has attracted over 400 comments as we speak). But come on you CL’ers, time to stand up, do us proud and put that particular Scotch Egg back in its basket (and no, I don’t mean GP). We begin again on Friday and essentially we pick up where we left off way back in March. But it’s a bit weird as we are basically half way through the 2nd part of the last 16. Four of the quarter finalists are already decided, the other four are still to be decided as those eight teams need to complet...[Read More]
Win your share of €1,000,000 playing Fantasy Premier League football this season Most of us love a private cash league with our friends, families and work colleagues when it comes to Fantasy Premier League. We all like doing battle for a few hundred pounds each season, so what do you say to the thought of winning your share of €1,000,000? Intrigued? We thought you might be, as we were when we first heard about it a few weeks ago before the official launch. They say that if something sounds too good to be true, then it usually is. However, this means that sometimes it’s not too good to be true, and this is one of those times. There’s €1,000,000 in cash up for grabs just by playing fantasy football this season. And the best thing about it? It’s almost exactly like our beloved FPL game we lov...[Read More]
