Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 24

Let the fun begin! We could be about to encounter a number of DGW’s on the bounce and DGW24 is the first of those, albeit with just the 4 teams playing twice.

We begin on Saturday and end on Wednesday but it is also worth bearing in mind that DGW25 then starts less than 48hrs later, on Friday evening.

Leicester and Liverpool get us under way @12.30pm on Saturday and this is followed by Palace & Burnley @3pm, Man City get their double under way @5.30pm vs Spurs before Brighton & Villa see Saturday out @8pm.

Sunday is a similar marathon with Saints vs Wolves @12pm, Man Utd going to West Brom @2pm, Arsenal welcoming Leeds @4.30pm with Everton & Fulham getting their respective doubles under way @7pm.

Just the two on Monday as West Ham welcome Sheffield Utd @6pm and Newcastle go to Chelsea @8pm.

The ‘bonus’ games occur on Wednesday with Burnley & Fulham boring everybody @6pm before Everton & Man City should hopefully wake us all up again @8.15pm.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

    Evening all,
Been tinkering some more with my WC team, would appreciate your thoughts.
Currently have 4 DGWers for GW 25, and the money to do Ings to Kane in GW 26. Was planning on playing my BB but also need to make sure I have enough players for BGW29 so with the triple Leeds (and Sanchez back up keeper) I would have only 11 DGWers. Would there be another chance after the blank to use my BB? Or should I prioritise that over planning for the blank?

    Evening all.

Been tinkering with a potential WC team that gives me 4 players with doubles in 25 and 15 DGW players in 26.

I know saints aren’t good, but they have the potential for a few DGWs so seems sensible to maximise that.

I’ll be waiting until the games are confirmed before pulling the trigger

Do you have a free hit still?

      • Facepalm says:

Looks good. Who comes in for Bamford to complete the set?

      • Kralin says:

Looks fine. Not having Salah is a risk and it may be worth thinking through how to get him back should Liverpool suddenly click back into gear.

See my comments above about Southampton (even if a double double looms I’m not sure if I want three of their players). However given that the cheap alternatives probably = Brighton (not on the worst of runs currently) then I can see where you’re coming from. I’m currently looking more towards Leeds than Southampton and will probably correct the side with a FH / -4 going into GW26.

        Can you manage Pope?

Not quite the full set of 15 DGW players for 26
However I’d probly stick with Bamford on bench in a BB 26
Not so sure about Pieters either.
Maybe try and squeeze another 0.2 from Vestergard
and get two 4.5m defenders instead

        • Kralin says:

2 x 4.5m defenders is easier said than done though, I’m finding. Lowton, yes. Otherwise I’m scratching my head a bit.

I’m spending a bit more on defence – not much more but outside the City defenders then Mee/Lowton; Shaw; Dallas. One or two others may emerge.

        • Smash says:

Obsessing over 15 doubles without a free hit or going forward if you spread the cash too much which you might have to do will mess up your team going forward for future weeks of taking hits to get it right again. Which will be more than you gain from one week of joy.

        • Aarron13 says:

Once Charlie Taylor is back Pieters will be back on the bench I would have thought

        • Smash says:

Taylor is back now maybe tomorrow. Pieters might miss out due to injury as well

        • Aarron13 says:

I did have Taylor switched to Lowton a few weeks ago

        • Gear says:

Yeah, plan is to move bamford on after this week (I should have put that in my post). I’ve currently got Lowton at 4.4m so technically only need to find 0.1mil to upgrade Pieters. Maybe I could find that from Lindelof, just not sure who I could switch him with though. I get what Smash is saying below with trying to force 15 double players might not be the best strategy, but I do love the look of it when that BB chip is played!

    Hey all

Thinking about which Leeds players for 25. Would you go Dallas for free or aloiski and raphina for a -4?

Cant do Dallas and raphina unfortunately

    Cheers

Any updates on Reguillon being back for GW26? I’m thinking he could be good in place of Cresswell

      Special Agent Dale Cooper says:

Heard he is back in training now. Not sure how far off he is from first team action though and doubt he would get both games in the double if he is fit to start (assuming the DGW is his appeal).

Hey guys. Hope the GW has been good to you. 93 with 3 to go. Would like your advice regarding the next 2 weeks.
    1FT and 0 itb

Should I get in Raphina for next week or just Dallas. Would be for a -4 and -8. Also who would you get rid of from the midfielders for Raphina if yiu had to with the future GWs in mind

    • 131.1
      Kralin says:

Unless Gundo is out long term (when in which case you may be looking at another City player anyway) then I’d say there are no obvious swaps for Raphina (if the DGW play out as predicted). Doing it for a -4 is even riskier unless you’re planning to BB.

Maybe Antonio to Ings isn’t the worst of shouts this GW, but again, because you’ve set up as a 3/5/2, you’ll have huge benching headaches.
