Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 29

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 29. Back so soon? Life as an FPL manager can be brutal! First world problems and all that, eh?! Three deadlines in the space of 9 days can take its toll mentally, especially when you have to try and factor in the upcoming blanks and doubles, and trying to do so by playing a bit of a guessing game at this stage.

Back at it we are though, and so are Spurs and Arsenal on Saturday lunchtime, as they now seemingly enter a battle for 3rd / 4th spot with each other and also Man Utd, not quite the battle Spurs were hoping for only a week ago. We then have a relative treat at 3pm on Saturday with no less than 5 games. Man City look to keep the pressure on Liverpool as they visit Bournemouth, Brighton will be hoping to pull further clear of the relegation zone and in turn further condemn Huddersfield to their own inevitable fate, Burnley and Palace will be hoping their’s turns into a typical mid-table clash but both still need a few points on the board to make that a reality, Ole will be looking to continue to look invincible as Saints visit Old Trafford with their own agenda and Wolves will look to kiss and make up with their FPL fans with a home game against Cardiff, whose own fans may be forgiven for thinking their own team has already kissed the PL goodbye. What’s the record for the longest sentence ever?!

West Ham and Newcastle is finally looking like a genuine mid-table clash on Saturday evening. Give it three more weeks and the flip-flops will be getting packed in abundance for both.

Watford and Leicester kick us off on Sunday and continue the mid-table theme at 12pm, before a mini derby as Fulham host Chelsea before a proper derby closes us out as Everton look to derail the Liverpool title charge. They won’t, but it should be fun watching them try!

The games in full…

51 points this week. Quite content with that. WanB coming in for Kolasinac with 5 points. Could’ve been 12, had he kept his CS(and Barnes not scored). Need to prepare for future troubles now. Troubles coz I don’t have my WC left and just 03 playing on BGW31.

    Rashford-Arnie
    Pogba- Mane
    Doherty-Ake

    Thanks guys

1st set of moves make sense to me

Have you made some money on Pogba? That’s the biggest concern for me though. Would be a waste of transfer and money if I remove him for one GW and try to get him back for the DGW.

      • Offalymartin says:

Bought Pogba for 7.9 mate so would be a big loss. Would use my free hit to get him back for 32 but at a big loss. Fancy mane v Burnley but don’t want to loose sterling or Salah.

The first set of transfers for me, although I wouldn’t rush into doing it, I’d try to wait and get some more information regarding Wilson, he apparently lacks match fitness, tough to say whether he will be back next weekend now, and if he is back then what happens to King? So wait on that one!

      • Offalymartin says:

Yeah that’s true mate. That’s why I fancy the 2nd set of transfers but not keen on loosing Pogba. On course for winning 3 cash mini leagues so this weekend is going to be vital

        • Zed Leppelin says:

Well I don’t think Arnie is any more secure than King though… Hasn’t played much lately…

        • Offalymartin says:

That’s very true mate. I won’t rush it as you say. See what news comes in the week.

5th straight red arrow for me this GW, was leading my mini league a few weeks ago but now 4th and 52 points behind the leader. Had no less than 3 players post negative scores this week including Pogba (c), hope everyone didn’t fare as badly as me laugh
Fortunately I have 2FT this week and will be playing my chips over the next few weeks so still hoping I can recover. I’m planning on using my FH in GW31, TC in GW32 and possibly WC in GW33 so only need to make moves considering this GW and the DGW. I’m thinking of using my 2FT to do Auba and Son >> Vardy and Hazard, and then Salah >> Sterling in GW32 (strong candidate for TC), would these moves make sense? Could go for Rashford instead as he has a DGW and I want to get as many DGW players as possible.

    Thanks in advance

      Veer says:

Just a quick question, if I play my FH in GW31 I can’t make any permanent transfers for GW32 right? Or in other words I would have the same team for GW32 before making transfers that I had in GW30? Or if I make a transfer using my FT in GW31 before playing my FH would that transfer be permanent?

    IanDouglas says:

Here’s my squad going into GW30. I’ve got 2.9m ITB.

    Should I replace Jiménez with:

    A) Higuain (Wolves H)
    B) Leicester (Fulham H)

(I’m planning to free-hit in GW31, and will probably go with both, so I’m just looking to bring in one of these two for GW30, and then GW32)

Has Arnie lost his starting place? Or is he just nit well yet? Getting cameo appearances is not good
