Fantasy Premier League £500 Regulars League 2019/20

Hello everyone and welcome back to the FF247 Regulars League(s).

The purpose of this article is so that our Regulars League has a permanent home for reference points throughout the season such as cup draws and the like. It is permanently linked on our Hot Topics just above the latest comments.

As usual we will have a Regulars Classic League and we also have H2H leagues with promotion and relegation as well as a Regulars Cup starting in January.

We do have a main FF247 league and that is open to every man/woman and their dog. There is no autolink facility available from FPL yet but if you wish to join that one, for which there will also be a prize, the code is;

FF247 Main Site League – ikkny1 Which is almost kinky…

The Regulars League is a bit more selective. You have to be a member of FF247 and you have to post comments in the community here on a regular enough basis to be easily recognisable, and posting is monitored by the way.

Its not hard to join, e-mail me (Elle) at the address below and leave these details for me.
1- Your site user name.
2- Your real name.
3- Your team name from last season and new team name if it has changed. New members, just your team name.

These leagues are free to join but you do need to mail me. Deadline is midnight on the 6th August for the H2H leagues as I’ll need time to promote people if we have drop-outs. The Classic Regulars League can remain open for longer. Get mailing folks :- elleffcee@gmail.com

All we ask is that if you enter the league please keep the league code to yourself and don’t share it with friends and family who don’t frequent the site. It’s a community only league and we would like to keep it that way.

  1. Jiménez high ownership is partly due to being in all the autopick teams.

  2. BTW, I am claiming the fantasy u21 title ( not counting that Polish guy) it is funny though, that manager had the highest score in all 5 rounds, WTF? smile How shite are we that none of us could outscore him in any round.

  3. Morning strangers. How are we all? What with starting an MBA and having our first child in September I convinced myself I was gonna take a year off FPL this year. But another stint in hospital has driven me to reconsider 😉 I know it’s pointless at this stage, but here’s my first of many, many teams.

    • I guess it’s equally pointless to answer but here goes smile

A bit different which is always good but I’d just go for Ederson/Alisson or cheap like Ryan, Arnie has handed in a transfer request which would suggest don’t go near him, and I just don’t trust Sanchez until he shows some proof again!

      • Hey Zed. How goes it? I assume you’re confident of a better season this year? I mean Southampton not FPL btw!

On the Ederson/Allison thing, I can’t help thinking there’s better value in the defense than the keepers at those clubs. And Leno just jumped out at decent value for the extra 0.5. He probably won’t make the final team tho 😉

Sanchez is a huge punt at this stage. But if he performs that mid looks decent doesn’t it! Arnie will never make the team, I just couldn’t be bothered to change it yet!!!

        • Yeah Ralph seems like a good manager and I’m rather excited to see him get a clean start and a full season, also like Che Adams hope he can bring in some pacey goals to the team, but we still need some more signings, a commanding CB and I’d like to see a good tackling defending or holding mid aboard as well! But so far so good smile

Yeah I don’t currently have Alisson/Ederson either due to the reason you mention, that’s why I have the Ryan/Button double up which seems rather good at least for the start of the season, save points and all that!

        • How’s Portsmouth shaping up?

        • I can see you lot having a strong season. Could hurt my FPL-wise with my no scummer policy 😉

I’m not confident for Pompey. Selling your best players pre season isn’t usually a solid promotion strategy.

    • Kodija to fodder, Arnie to King will give you 6 million for a replacement for Kiko and that looks good

      • That’s an interesting idea. Just been poking around the 6m defenders and it’s only really city that stand out. And Maguire is there on the assumption he’s a city player smile Trippier could be worth a punt? The Chelsea defenders seem risky, as do united.

        • Trippier could be good. Digne as well with those fixtures

    • Mendy is a bit of a risk too with Zinchenko getting a payday and a potential Ake transfer looming since he can play left back and I wouldn’t see Pep playing too left footed centerbacks at the same time

      • I’m hoping the Charity Shield will give us some sort of clarity.

It would be a truly great start to the season to see an expensive defender benched.

        • Just read that Mendy might not return till after the pre season tour which has got to be bad

  4. What’s people’s opinions on the beautiful Frenchman? Surely he starts every game? At 7.0 he could be a steal.

    • Tammy Abraham could get game time. Hard to say right now. Pre season will shed more light.

    • Yeah I think he will be first choice definitely one to watch over pre season. My only concern is Giroud, Abraham and Bats all rotating

      • Whoever is first choice could really be a bargain though

        • Yep, I currently don’t have any Chelsea players but I would definitely like to have one!

        • I’ve got Hudson-Odoi pencilled in currently. Depends on fitness though as he might not make start. I’m sure I’ll have one once pre season becomes clearer

    • I can see myself bringing in a bunch of Chels with my WC but I don’t think I’m brave enough to start with any.

      • There’s a neat switch from Bournemouth to Chelsea in terms of fixtures in GW3.

It would give managers an opening quartet of fixtures of: SHU, villa, norwich, SHU.

It also allows us to see what Chelsea are getting up to before committing.

  5. Looking forward to seeing how well Ndombélé works with Moura and Kane in preseason. Moura could be a great shout at 7.5 with Son suspended. Moura had a good August last season too when Son was in Asia.

    • One of my debates is Moura v Kane.

I’m not 100% sure that what Moura enables – and the risk of selecting a player whose time may be limited once Son returns – is worth it; however he could simply be there as a placeholder for Son.

      • And it’s a shame that the second game Son is suspended for is City. It’s a one game punt basically

        • The lure of the game v a promoted side.

I have once or twice tried to remove Spurs from my thinking but it’s hard, given their undoubted strengths.

        • before the wolves loss, Spurs had won 20 home games in a row against the newly promoted sides….

      • I like Alli’s value. He’s nailed on to start when fit and is ready for a breakout campaign

        • I don’t think I’ve ever had Alli in my side before. Worth watching for sure. Pogba is 8.5 as well (should he still be here, be motivated etc etc).

        • Dele Alli? Breakthrough season? He’s played roughly 130 PL games for Spurs. I think his breakthrough season is behind him. smile

        • He’s been useless for a while now. Not like he’s had too many injuries either
