Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 10

Team Talk Fantasy Football GW10 Welcome to GW10 and finally some normality is returning to our FPL lives – City banging in the goals, Arsenal beating weaker opposition, United back on track, Lord Pardew out of the top 4 (thank fook), Chelsea returning to winning ways, Aguero injured and Villa and Sunderland keep on losing. The only strange part was seeing Newcastle win last week, but let’s face it – even a broken clock is right twice a day. And so onto GW10 and it’s a gameweek condensed into a 27 hour period – no early kick off, no Monday night footy – that&...[Read More]

Team Talk Fantasy Football Game-week 9

Team Talk Fantasy Football GW9 Welcome to GW9 and it’s a gameweek that many were looking forward to after an improved and Kun-inspired GW8 – however numerous injuries over the dreaded International break, including the aforementioned Aguero, has left many a manager waking up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat, fearing how they will field a team without a points hit or two – or three! It’s a gameweek where we welcome Jurgen Klopp as the new Liverpool chief – damnit I like Klopp – this is going to test my loyalty to the extreme. We also welcome back Bi...[Read More]

Fantasy Football FF247 Team Game-week 9 Goodbye 2 million ranking, hope to never see you again! As anyone who has ever followed the team intro knows, no one has been more positive about the site team turning it around than the narrator of this. It was only a matter of time before we started climbing the rankings, was probably said countless times in the opening paragraph over the last several weeks. So how many spots did we jump? 1.6 million spots in the overall, which took us to 600K. No need to pat us on the back though, as we patted each other so much in the committee meeting that we need t...[Read More]

Kops Fantasy Football Tips Game-week 9

Kops Fantasy Football Tips Game-week 9 After a tough start to the season fantasy managers around the globe were in desperate need of something special to ignite their season and then GW8 happened and in particular Sergio Aguero happened. The Argentine scored five times against a hapless Newcastle team and those who captained him raked in an incredible 50 points… spare a thought for those who didn’t captain and have chuckle at those who didn’t even own him! This prompted a significant number of managers to take an early dip into the transfer market as his price was surely going to increas...[Read More]

Captain Picks Fantasy Football Game-week 10

Captain Picks Fantasy Football Game-week 10 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16 Greetings from Australia, home of the most feared species on the planet: the Wallaby. In fact, I could be excused for thinking we were in July, being the time of year when the Southern Hemisphere’s Rugby Championship is played. I thought this was a World Cup? Anyhow, when I last presented to you (Gameweek 3), the earth stood on the precipice. Fantasy Football was in meltdown. FF247 was on its knees. Cookie Monsters and chickens (and other strange species) seemed destined to end up back at Sesame Street. The only...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Pottys Predictions Gameweek 9

Fantasy Football Pottys Predictions Gameweek 9 Hello my Potty Punters and have you all got over the shakes? Yes those “no FPL for 14 days” withdrawal’s? Well I had a wee spell in The Priory which included three days of electricity treatment and now I am buzzing ahead of GW9, buzz buzz. So let’s have a recap of our GW8 competition that was ‘Half and Treble” which caused you all problems as many played this game wrong? Yes the key to winning the rare FF247 t-shirt that week was selecting the correct half pick and many of you failed as a 1 point player gained y...[Read More]

Captain Picks Fantasy Football Game-week 9

Captain Picks Fantasy Football Game-week 9 – Fantasy Premier League 2015/16 Well Aguero went and did me a solid by removing himself from the reckoning this GW; at home to injury-ravaged Bournemouth on the back of smashing 5 past McClaren’s sorry bunch, he’d have made this a very short article indeed. All tipping one player. Him. The fantasy Gods had other plans though, and us mere mortals just along for the ride must look elsewhere for our double or triple points, and I get to write a few more paragraphs. Meanwhile normal service has at last returned to FPL Land, with pricey ...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Fixtures Game-week 10

Fantasy Football Fixtures Game-week 10 Sometimes, occasionally, all the stars align and something special occurs. That was game-week 8. It was mainly due to Aguero and that five goal haul but it also combined with some great performances from a good majority of the ‘popular’ players. The result was that many managers were able to post scores over the holy grail 100 point mark. Game-week 9 was never likely to match those heights but it did at least feel like a return to some kind of normality in that it wasn’t spectacular but neither was it ridiculously disappointing, as some ...[Read More]
