Team Talk Gameweek 14

Midweek GW14 is quickly upon us and it all kicks off at Selhurst Park tonight as Palace host West Ham. All the other games take place Wednesday evening with the highlights being David Moyes facing Everton for the first time since he joined Man Utd, simple looking home fixtures for Arsenal and Liverpool, tough looking away trips for Chelsea and Man City and a London derby down by the river as Fulham host Tottenham, with Rene Meulensteen taking charge of the Cottagers for the first time. Let’s go around the grounds to catch up on the latest team news.

Fixtures and Tips Gameweek 14

Whether you had a good or indifferent GW13 there is little opportunity to dwell on it now as GW14 starts in earnest on Tuesday night as Crystal Palace host West Ham to kick us off again on the merry-go-round that is fantasy football. We will as ever cast an eye over the next four weeks to give you an indication as to who we feel will prosper and who will possibly falter and tell you which players we feel may do likewise. Of paramount importance though is that you are aware that this week’s deadline is on Tuesday night at 7.30pm. Favourable Fixtures LIVERPOOL –  Norwich (H), West Ham (H), Totte...[Read More]

Captain Picks Gameweek 13

Welcome to our weekly Captain’s Picks article. Every week we will look to elucidate potential captains for the forthcoming games and give you our opinions on each, but also analyse their recent form to help make that crucial decision a little easier for you. We will do this by using a new in-play performance index called Kickdex. Kickdex Every player has a single Kickdex value that updates every time anything happens on the field of play. This number represents the player’s contribution to their team. E.g. Suarez 32.2 (-2.34%). The second number shows the percentage difference since their last...[Read More]

Tips Gameweek 13

GW12 saw Man City destroy Spurs at the Etihad and it would now appear as though AvB has the same problems as us fantasy managers when it comes to spending £100m! That result just illustrates how difficult this season has been from a fantasy perspective as who could have predicted such an outcome prior to the game. Things are not going to get any easier for us over the coming weeks with the likes of Wenger and Mourinho talking about rotating their squads which means that a fully functioning bench is going to be of the upmost importance for us all. With that in mind, we here in FF247 have put on...[Read More]

Suspension Report Gameweek 13

Saturdays fixtures saw two straight red cards brandished in GW12. Firstly, after almost two years out with injury, Wes Brown’s return to action was short lived, as after just 35 mins of his second start of the season, he was dismissed for – well, for a perfectly good challenge! Fortunately for Wes an Independent Regulatory Commission (yeah right!) have overturned the red card, and no suspension will need to be served. N.B. Although the red card has been rescinded, owners of Wes will not get the -3 points back.

Gameweek 12 Review

Saturday review Everton 3-3 Liverpool Saturday’s early kick off saw the 221st meeting in all competitions for the Merseyside club’s with Roberto Martinez looking to mastermind Everton’s 1st derby win in the Premier League since October 2010. With Daniel Sturridge on the bench for Liverpool the Reds were banking on a performance from Luis Suarez in this often volatile fixture and it took just 5 minutes for him to provide the assist for Philippe Coutinho to open the scoring. Just 3 minutes later and it was all square when Leighton Baines whipped in a free-kick and Kevin Mirallas fired past...[Read More]
