FPL Team Gameweek 12
Welcome to FPL Team Gameweek 12
It is easy to lose track, during the yawning international break, just how well you may have done in the previous week. A very healthy 31 POINTS above the weekly average was an extremely pleasant surprise for the FF247 bigwigs when we reconvened last night. We had some very well-performing players who combined to help us reach 73 points for the week which took us to 128,011 overall. We are back on track and very pleased.
We start off by mentioning the strikers last week. Right, that’s that done. That’s all we really can say about 5 points combined from messrs Antonio, Toney and Vardy.
Chuck in the other 2-pointers in Rudiger and Benrahma and that’s the rot out of the way!
We are very proud owners of Raphinha (9), Emile Smith-Rowe (8) and of course (captain) Salah with – only an assist – but still double figures with 10.
The trio of Trent, Cancelo and *drumroll* BEN FOSTER were our top performers this week landing us a total of 37 point between them.
It doesn’t matter where the points come from, so long as they come!
Our Gameweek 11 Result…
Let’s go see what was decided…
Our Gameweek 12 Transfer(s)
With one free transfer, a little kitty there to spend and patience exasperated with JV9, we turn towards the four-goal slayer of the San Marino, Harry Kane.
Suggested, seconded, thirded and fourthed in quick time, we awaited team news or any surprises before we completed the transfer.
To confirm then we have SOLD JAMIE VARDY and BOUGHT HARRY KANE
Captain – MOHAMED SALAH
Arsenal may be getting their act together but it is still Salah at home and we have faith in the Egyptian Magician.
Worst case, we have Sammarinese Smasher Harry Kane picking up the armband on Sunday dinner (tea) time.
Our Gameweek 12 team in full…

Hwang
Cheers smash
How’s your team looking?
On previous page I’m not sure what to do this week
Ah yes I’ve just seen it.
Vardy & Foden
To
Kane & Jota
I say go for it.
Good luck
What’s the story with the Drafthound predicted lineups site, that you guys were falling over yourselves to promote a few weeks back? Most of the team lineups haven’t been updated all week. Is the FF247 site these days anything more than click bait for betting websites? Sure doesn’t feel like it. Hope you guys you your payday though
“Is the FF247 site these days anything more than click bait for betting websites?”
Oh, mate. You’ve had a shocker there.
They only update the time stamp on the ones where there has been an actual alteration. Personally I think you update that even if you’ve just checked it and deemed no alteration is necessary. Otherwise it leads to misunderstandings such as this. It’s something I intend to speak to them about.
And for the record we haven’t made a penny from ‘promoting’ them. It’s a mutually beneficial and reciprocal deal that I felt allowed us to display team line-ups once again. Sans the tremendous amount of work that goes into actually doing them yourself. Which for us became impossible on a Friday due to other commitments, such as real work. I’ve been 100% upfront about that all along.
If you’re concerned about it becoming a betting click bait site then perhaps rather than viewing that one in isolation take a look at some of the other GW12 articles:

That’s a tremendous amount of work the team has put in to producing that lot this week. And that’s repeated pretty much every week x 38. And not a single bit of betting click bait in any of them. And we never asked you personally for a penny for any of it. And never have, and never will. That’s what FF247 is about my friend. And to quote Carolyn, ‘I’ll thank you to remember that’.
Well put.
Here here Init
HUGE thanks to all of you guys for the effort you put into this site. Don’t let the trolls get to you! Cheers
Thanks fellas.
I only need one site to get me info.
That was meant for Bonza
Not you Init
I know that.
Bonza, go boil your head yer dishcloth. If you don’t think the site is anything but hard work by all concerned do one.
Elle, I was trying to contain myself but you came to the rescue
Or go elsewhere.
‘Do one’ is scouse vernacular for exactly that Dane.
I see – Thought he meant do one as in ‘do your own site’
Well, if nothing else, at least you learnt a new phrase tonight. You can go for your paper in the morning now and start pointing at anyone who irks you and shout ‘oi you, do one!’. And they won’t have a clue what you mean
Sorry to keep harking back to this but we always welcome feedback and indeed actively encourage constructive criticism, I feel like that’s a healthy way to make progress and also have an inclusive site which suits all. However, when it’s unsolicited nonsense that does grate.
As far as advertising or ‘click bait’ goes we (mainly I) have always tried to minimise it and to ensure it is none intrusive. In fact if you click on our home page now it’s pretty difficult to see where any income is generated at all.
By comparison I’ll present the biggest (in terms of traffic) fantasy site out there. This is not me having a go at them, making any judgment or taking any high moral ground. They do what they need to do to fund their website, and that’s fine.
This is the first page, and this is after having clicked to remove a pop up ad just to even see the homepage….
And then this is the very first article on there. With ads in the middle of the article itself!
In reflection, not a great comment from yours truly. It was in the context of a bad day, and a pint or 2 too many…I’m a long term fan of the site, and absolutely acknowledge all the work put into it. I’ll consider myself duly reprimanded…
Thank you Bonza. Good of you to acknowledge that. We all have bad days, and a pint or 2 too many occasionally on top of it. We move on
Who to bench out of Mbuemo, ESR and Livramento?
Think you have it right. That’s how I’d play it
+1
Odd one this but which would you rather?
A. Guaita & Jota
B. Ederson & Mbeumo
Both keepers would be flying solo. As in with no back up. Technically Ederson would have company each week with Cancelo.
TIA

I’d go A. Never really liked a premium keeper. Not owned Mbeumo but have Toney and thoroughly frustrated with Brentford attacking assets.
Thanks leeboy, that’s how I have it now. Just double checking stuff really as ideally I’d like both Ederson and Jota!
Nice one Init
Btw…I’d go with A
I’m glad someone spotted it
I am really with if I should rid Mbeumo this week or not. I just have a feeling he will bang against Newcastle. So hard to call through.
Better chuck a tenner on it just in case.
Guaita and Jota for me, init. How’s your WC snapping up? I am a bit stuck with mine atm.
Just posted below. It’s tough isn’t it!
A all day
Thanks for all the comments on whether to WC or not last night.
Just to update then, I did.
This is where I’m at. Not ideal in some ways but better in others than where I was.
Any feedback or suggestions are still welcome but I’ve gone around the block on it a few times already now and have probably considered/ wanted to do most of them but had to compromise/ prioritise.
I really wanted to keep Antonio and would ideally have also liked Mbeumo, Ederson, that Burnley bloke in midfield who waves a lot, whose name I can never remember.
I think this team is amazing. I’d love to have this going into the weekend.
I wouldn’t go that far, have you been on the whisky
10am here in Australia so you’d hope not!! Haha
‘Hope not’…. You don’t sound certain though
I like it. Mine is with Son in it, so it’s a bit different but with the same core.
That’s the problem though, ‘the same core’. Those who played it earlier have had that better core for a good few weeks. Makes you think you should have played it earlier. Hey, ho. Better late than never!
It was always the plan to play it in GW8 but I didn’t for some reason…and then in GW9,10…you get my point. Anyway, let’s hope we won’t regret it too much. Good luck!
Looks good. I can’t see anything obvious to change. Carson over Foster is a bit of a pain
Very much and that’s why I wanted a better set and forget keeper but I’m a bit snookered on that bit.
Cracking team Init.
Kind of makes me want to WC!
