Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2021-22 The first edition of Gabo for this new season. With FPL getting closer and closer to starting it is of course time for Bore Off to also kickoff. I have gathered three of my esteemed colleagues: GP of Scottish fantasy fame, Rosco of FPL fame and Smash of Devil’s Advocate fame. I asked for the site members to provide any questions they wanted answering, and did they ever! Some really great stuff was asked and hopefully this edition of Bore Off can provide you with some good answers (doubtful) to said questions. I want to send a special thanks to all who volunteered questions that were not sexually explicit. Well, without further ado, let us see what the boys had to say. Thanks for reading Grab, Avoid or Bore Off!. This article w...[Read More]

Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2019-20 With the resumption of the Premier League, and of course FPL, things are finally back to normal, right? Well, not quite! That said, what is normal these days? Whilst we have all been diligently following government legislation for what feels like an eternity, football of any description feels like a welcome distraction for some, and others an unnecessary risk. Wherever you sit on that debate we respect your opinion. Whether you’re for or against football without fans matters little, that’s how it’s going to be, so let’s just suck it up and get back to why we’re here; FPL. Maybe you used a Chip for the DGW that never was, blew your Wildcard preparing for fixtures that didn’t happen, or used your weekly FT’s during the lockdown ...[Read More]
Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2019-20 International Break time, can only mean one thing. That’s right is is Bore Off time with the three amigos. After getting a look of four gameweeks of action, we have asked our three forced volunteers to give us their opinions on some fpl related questions and of course as is tradition some non fpl related questions. For those of you only here for the Giroud :buba: related question just skip straight to the last question. So without further ado, let us get to it! Thanks for reading Grab, Avoid or Bore Off!. Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2019-20 Guess who’s back, back again…. With the fpl season getting closer and closer to starting, it is of course time for Bore Off to also kickoff. I have gathered the three originals, as is tradition for each first edition of the new season. As always a new season brings new hope. Hopefully this article helps a little, but not too much. Looking back through the first Bore Off from last season, I noticed that the Amigos had many things right. All 3 had Salah as the first person in their team sheet, they were all for the LFC double up in midfield with Mane, which would have worked out well for any manager who did. Cookie and Kop were talking about a back four and in Cookie’s case he was talking up a 5 back. Cookie was ahea...[Read More]
Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2018-19 Having heard from the positive bunch, we now move onto the ones who are not so much, which should be fun… To be fair, we’ve been massively judgemental and quick to conclude based on a one line response. We shall let you judge for yourselves whether we were right or not… #wewere 😉 Welcome to all, from the Glass is half empty club….
Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2018-19 Usually when we ask our writing team to come forth for an International Break GABO we see tumbleweeds in abundance, and little sign of actual writers. This time however, for whatever reason, they were literally scrambling over each other to get involved. So much so that we have no less than two episodes of GABO to bring you in the break this time. We’ve decided to split them based upon perceived personality traits; Glass Half Full & Glass Half Empty. We say perceived personality traits… it was actually based solely on their original answers on WhatsApp to our request for entrants. Funnily enough, it was unerringly accurate. First up then we have AT, Swirly and Rosco. AT and Swirly’s answers were very simi...[Read More]
Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2018-19 Welcome to a special edition of Bore Off! Usually we only run these during the International breaks, but this time we decided to throw one in since we had a few extra days between GW’s. You will notice a slightly different format as there are nowhere near as many questions and we have asked our guys to expand a bit more than usual on the six they did get. This GABO is focused on the blank and double game-weeks to come. Obviously, we can only talk so much without knowing what teams will actually be a part of the actual doubles and blanks and as we see the FA Cup start to dwindle down teams we will address what players/teams and possible strategies you should be considering, but that will come in due time. Now for a quick intro ...[Read More]
Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2018-19 Whilst we all hate International Breaks to disrupt our FPL flow they are at least good for one thing and that’s an opportunity to put some of our favourite FPL managers on the spot and ask them a few pertinent questions. This week though we’ve decided to give them a break and have instead drafted in some others… 😉 First up is everybody’s favourite professional Geordie. Long gone are the days of steel workers and miners filling the terraces of Newcastle, your modern day Toon hero is a bit of a lush who drinks Prosecco most nights and takes showers with his dogs, apparently! Except of course on a Sunday, on the tipple front anyway, no idea about his pet shower schedule! Guinness or Newcastle Brown you ask...[Read More]
