Fantasy Premier League £1k Regulars League 2020/21

Fantasy Premier League £1k Regulars League 2020/21 Hello everyone and welcome back to the FF247 Regulars League(s). We have exciting news about the FF247 Regulars League. Over the years we have gradually increased the prize pool, bit by bit. This year we are DOUBLING it! It’s mainly as a ‘thank you’ to our members but also partly thanks to FanTeam who are sponsoring it. So this season’s prize pool goes up from £500 to £1k. And we are not only increasing all of the prizes for each placing we are extending the winners to 10 spots. And introducing a prize for our Regulars Cup too. This main purpose of this article is so that the Regulars League has a permanent home for reference points throughout the season, such as cup draws. It is also linked to our Hot Topics just above latest comments. FF...[Read More]

Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions Season Wrap Up

Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions Season Wrap Up Hello and welcome to the final Harry and Lloyd’s of the 2019/20 season. What started as a one-off post on a quiet December evening several years back, has now turned into a fully-fledged competition that is now heading into its fifth season. That it exists and continues to grow is entirely down to each and every one of you who takes part, so once again we would like to thank you and hope you’ll join us once more for the 2020/21 season. It’s no easy feat counting up each and every prediction and turning those into an overall league table week after week, I’d like to give special thanks to Matt and DMC who do a stellar job and essentially make my job easy! On to the winners! GW35 Newo notched 12pts and top-spo...[Read More]

THE SCOTCH CORNER – SCOTTISH PREMIERSHIP FANTASY FOOTBALL 2020/21

THE SCOTCH CORNER – SCOTTISH PREMIERSHIP FANTASY FOOTBALL 2020/21 Irn Bru Deep Fried Mars Bars Shortbread The Loch Ness Monster The Proclaimers Whisky spelt without the ‘e’ …… and a professional football league which is awful and in all honesty could be won at a canter by a team of middle-aged, beer-bellied Englishmen pulled out the pub a couple of hours before the start of the season. Sound about right? The Scottish Premiership returns on 1st August and a new and improved fantasy game comes with it and we at FF247 (by which I mean me) invite you to join our (by which I mean my) FF247 fantasy league for a little harmless ‘bit on the side’. I don’t expect you to follow religiously every team in the SPFL and dedicate endless hours to this as it will eventually run alongside the main FP...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat and FF247 Site Team Gameweek 38+ Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek and FF247 Site Team 38+. What could possibly go wrong………………………………? GW38+ Deadline; Sunday 26th July 3pm GMT We’ve finally come to the end of what was ultimately a bizarre yet memorable season. Possibly for all the wrong reasons but it is what it is. Or was what it was, hopefully. We can’t let it go without handing out more than a few ‘thanks’ though. We feel like we do this every season, and we do, but that doesn’t mean any of it is less heartfelt. Let’s go view everybody’s end of year school (FF247) report… The Writing Team Outstanding. We have a team of about...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 38+

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 38+ Welcome to Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 38+ Given as we finally have a few days to breathe between GW’s, we thought we would break the monotony and bring you something approaching a normal article. And it’s a nice one to finish off on in that respect, as we’ve invited our entire writing team for the 2019/20 season to give you their Captain Picks for GW38+ and a little bit of space to add anything else they want to say as a bit of a season sign-off. If anyone remembers the shenanigans we have had the last few times we have done a shared Capo article (in terms of people basically lying, or at least being forced to) then we should add as a caveat that we have at least asked them to be honest for once and tell us who their actu...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Tips ‘One Week Wonders’ Gameweek 38+

Fantasy Football Tips ‘One Week Wonders’ Gameweek 38+ It’s certainly been a strange season dominated by the worst kind of virus. But they had to win the league in the end I suppose. We arrive in GW38+ after what can only be described as a frenzied plethora of nine game-weeks in just five-and-a-half calendar weeks that has left most of us completely exhausted, not least many of the players. With one last game-week to go you may be in a situation where a mini-league is still up for grabs or you’re chasing one last jump up the rankings, maybe you’re trying to avoid your worst ever season – or perhaps you still have one of your Chips left to play. Whatever your situation, I have come up with a list of players who I think may do well for you in GW38+. I’ve even tried to play Pep rou...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat and FF247 Site Team Gameweek 37+ Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 37+. GW37+ Deadline; Saturday 18th July 4.30pm GMT But can he play left-back? These game-weeks are getting ridiculous now. As one ends, the next starts and so it is with GW37+, although at least this one lasts for five days. This is of course due to the weekend’s FA Cup semi-finals which are between Arsenal and Manchester City and then Manchester United and Chelsea. Now the implications of these cup semis are that players from any of the aforementioned teams could pick up injuries or fatigue from their Cup matches and it also means we won’t receive team news on their opponents (Watford, Villa, West Ham and Liverpool) before they meet in midweek. The game-week begins on Sat...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat and FF247 Site Team Gameweek 36+ GW36+ Deadline; Tuesday 14th July 7.15pm GMT These game-weeks are turning up more often than a Trump gaffe but unlike the illustrious leader we have your best interests at heart. So take note of this week’s deadline…. 7.15pm on TUESDAY. We had FF247’s very own Rosco joining Raz’s ‘Forgot the deadline club’ in GW35+ so be warned it can happen to the best (or sleepiest) of us. GW36+ is a 4-day Tuesday-Friday game-week starting in West London and ending with a Friday night knees up in the East End. Loads of opportunities for big hauls with Chelsea hosting Norwich, City toying with the Cherries (but who will Pep rest?), Everton having a pop at that Villa defence, the United scoring tour stopping off at Palace, Ings looking...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat and FF247 Site Team Gameweek 35+ Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 35+. GW35+ Deadline; Saturday 11th July 11:30am GMT Timing is everything… For those of you struggling to keep up with the rapid deadlines; tough sh*t & :punish: :mosking: It’s posted on site in at least three different locations, including a very handy countdown timer. But if you are one of those, not to name names, (Raz, Ivan & AJW) you may want to pay attention to the following as the next few weeks may prove particularly challenging for you; GW35+ ends abruptly on Monday night, GW36+ then begins the following day. Which is called Tuesday, just in case you are already struggling to keep up. That one then goes all the way through until Friday night. And th...[Read More]

Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW36+,GW37+,GW38+ Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW36+,GW37+,GW38. The end is nigh. Not it an end of days kind of way, although given recent global events it’s probably best to be clear on that. No sooner has the league resumed it’s almost time to bring it to an end. The games have come thick and fast and it’s been great that so many of you have stayed engaged, so first of we’d like to thank you for that! This is our final predictions ‘article’ but we will, of course, bring a final results article out come the end of the season, but we’re not there yet. With no let-up in fixtures and quick turnarounds, we’ve once again combined the final 3 weeks into one. As before, you can e...[Read More]

Finally it looks like some of the players and teams are warming up nicely and perhaps those balmy yet boring evenings of bore draws and friendly pre-season type games are behind us. This particular one spans three days over Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday before we have the now usual break on Friday ahead of getting going again with GW35+ on Saturday. It’s Christmas on steroids. Fantasy Football Live Match Chat and FF247 Site Team Gameweek 33+ Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 33+. GW33+ Deadline; Saturday 4th July 11:30am GMT Fickle, much? And on we go again! We hope you enjoyed your one day break from football. Or at least your spouse / better / worse half did. But fear not if you were having withdrawal symptoms as this weekend will certainly make up for it. Technically speaking you can watch football on Saturday from about noon until 10pm (and then stick MOTD on), and then again on Sunday it’s likewise but sadly only up until 9pm, (MOTD 2 will probably follow). There’s then just the one game on Monday but don’t panic as GW34 then gets underway on Tuesday! As always we shall endeavour to post the line-ups prior to each phase of the relevant GW...[Read More]
