FPL Captain Picks Gameweek 37 It’s probably fair to say that not many of us got quite what we expected or hoped for out of GW36. It was short, sharp and brutal. GW37 does at least have a full compliment of teams to choose from. Whether that will make it much better remains to be seen, as rotation will probably be at a premium again with the short turnaround after the past weekend and also ahead of the next one. As for our GW36 picks it was feast or famine really. And to pay on a previous theme from GW35 the bleeding obvious once again won the day; 1. Matt – Salah, 20 points. A solitary goal was enough to take vicyory this week, which probably says a lot. 2. Kop – Kane, 16 points. Our only other goalscorer but Kop and Kane owners alike would have wanted a tad more. 3. Hors...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 36 Small is beautiful After 15 games in 7 days we have an 8 game, 3-day game-week, oh what joy, almost traditional, there’s even a game at 3pm on Saturday. On TV, of course. It’s worth remembering that Chelsea, Leicester, Man Utd and Arsenal all blank in GW36. Our game-week begins on Friday evening as the newly crowned Champions go to Newcastle to celebrate with Rosco and friends. Stuart Dallas; we shall all bench him no more this season, and all be hoping the curse of actually playing him doesn’t come back to haunt us as Leeds travel to Burnley for the lunchtime kick-off on Saturday. Our 3pm match sees Southampton host the relegated Fulham before the evening match sees West Ham take on Brighton at the Amex. Sunday brings us the r...[Read More]
FF247 FPL Team GW36 Welcome to FF247 FPL Team GW36 As we approach the final three gameweeks we come in off the back of a very healthy 137 points in GW35. We know all the decent players had ton-plus scores but ours has seen us rise almost 80,000 places to reside currently at 187,389 overall. In ordinary weeks we would be bemoaning the benching of Matt Targett (8) and Stuart Dallas (9) but not this week. Well OK, we should have played them over Luke Shaw and Ollie Watkins but hindsight ight n’ all that! Our top scoring player and leading by example was captain Bruno Fernandes with 38 points. He was ably assisted by double-digits from Diogo Jota (10), DCL (11), Martinez (12), Digne (14), TAA (16) and Mason Greenwood (19). We’re happy with our lot and press on for a sub-150k finish...[Read More]

FPL Captain Picks Gameweek 36 I offer no stats, just dreams Bruno was of course the most captained player in DGW36, the game’s top points scorer (not sure if he was at that point actually, but he is now and we couldn’t really be arsed checking if he was then in all honesty, so just go with it…) and with a potential treble on his hands he was always going to be, even if we all knew deep down that he couldn’t possibly start in all three, as much as Ole does love to flog him! Even so he managed to start two of them and was still flung on against Leicester in an attempt to rescue a lost cause, to no avail. He still got a couple of goals though along the way, as he does. Despite all this the job of our Captaincy writing team is to present you with some options across the...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 35 The long game You may have noticed that there are a lot of games this week. If you haven’t and this is the first you know of it then you may be in a bit of trouble here. There are 15 in total, spanning 7 days in total, with at least a game on each day. 8 teams play twice and 1 other (Man Utd, aka Bruno) play thrice. We shan’t bore you with our usual pithy comments about each one, as 15 of those would probably be pushing the envelope a bit. Other than to say that come the end of it Champions will most likely have been crowned, some CL places will have been sorted and at least 1 more team will probably have been relegated. And of course, as is fitting with this season; GW35 ends on Thursday at about 10.30pm and GW36 begins about 20 hou...[Read More]
Chelsea vs Leicester Dream11 Team Prediction Chelsea and Leicester City will face off in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge in a simulated play-off for a spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League. The Blues will play a home game in front of supporters for just the second time this season, after their home victory over Leeds in December, with the UK government allowing a limited number of spectators to return after sanctions were relaxed across the UK. Despite being in ninth position prior to Thomas Tuchel’s arrival, Chelsea has enjoyed a fantastic run since his arrival in January, reaching the Champions League final and being on the verge of securing a top-four slot. However, the Blues have suffered a big setback in the last week, losing their Premier League lead after a d...[Read More]
FF247 FPL Team GW35 Welcome to FF247 FPL Team GW35 Our stuttering finish to the season continued with a 48pt return in GW34. However, given the overall average was just 39 we still managed a green arrow to take us to a rank of 267,151. With Azpi rested and Bruno, Jota and TAA playing ‘Spot the Glazer’ at the Lowry we achieved our score with just 10 players. Son was our highest scorer with a goal and assist, Watkins again chipped in with a goal and Na(C)ho’s assist was welcome, though we asked for more. Digne collected an assist and somehow 3bps, which was more than welcome. All the others were frankly a waste of space and with a bigger double treble for some!) gameweek to follow, some heads may roll. Our GW34 Result… Let’s go see what was decided… Our GW35 Transfer(s) We’...[Read More]
FPL Captain Picks Gameweek 35 And then there was a TRIPLE GW, obviously… As you can imagine we were all prepped and ready to go with this week’s Capo article. We were sort of expecting a couple of changes, maybe the odd additional Liverpool game, but we probably weren’t anticipating this sudden and unprecedented change of events. But credit to our team as they dropped what they were doing and have adjusted their sets accordingly. It does of course mean that Bruno ‘flog him to death’ Fernandes will jump to the front of most people’s queue as the obvious candidate here, but as we all know from bitter experience obvious isn’t always the winner in these circumstances. Let’s take last week as an example… Sheffield United were primed to be put to the sword by Spurs and there was one bleedi...[Read More]
Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW’ 35, 36 & 37 Well, what a time for social media to go into a boycott! This weekend saw United fans storm the pitch and cause one of the biggest fixtures in football to be postponed. Whether you agree with the actions of the supporters or you don’t I think we can all agree it screwed up our FPL teams! It also messed up H&L with one fixture being removed. That one fixture could have changed the results and the destination of our winners prize but we will now never know! Elsewhere we saw Spurs smash 4-0 past Sheffield, City, Chelsea and Arsenal all win by a 2-0 score line and West Brom slip closer to relegation after their 1-1 draw with Wolves. We could have done with the United-Liverpool game to possibly separate our leaders this week ...[Read More]
FPL Fixtures Gameweek 35 It looks like we finally get to write about some upcoming fixtures that we know will actually happen and won’t be changed on a whim. DGW35 was announced last week and along with it a blank-ish GW36. As ever with these things they are not mutually exclusive and as such the excitement of bringing in assets from Arsenal, Leicester, Chelsea and Man United for a bumper double haul will be tempered with the knowledge that they will all then cause you a headache with a blank the week after. However, Villa, Palace, Everton and Saints all now have 3 games in 2 weeks, with the caveat that they are all fairly crap teams! Which was all well and good up until Sunday when Man United vs Liverpool was called off! This has to be fitted in somewhere and the best guess right no...[Read More]
