First of all, thanks to Adam for writing the article in my stead last week, the break was much appreciated. Though the couch that was covered in fried chicken wasn’t mine – anybody who’s seen a picture of me knows that it’s highly unlikely that I would be so wasteful with fried chicken. Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 4 Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 4. Thankfully the International break is over and what a way to kick it off in GW4. A Saturday lunch time affair brings with it the most interesting fixture of the week. FF247 Fantasy Football Team Gameweek 4 Welcome to FF247 Fantasy Football Team Gameweek 4. We scored 49 points in GW3, a miserly 6 above the average and we saw a relatively minor jump in the rankings as a result. All in all it was a bit of a miserable old GW though. 19 of our points came from just three players at the back and even two of our benched rearguard scored more than any of our midfielders or forwards, Firmino excepted. Our midfield was consistent, if nothing else, with three points each. Lukaku blanked but that was the least of our worries, given his ownership. Kane coming in as a 4 point captain was the real kick in the teeth. Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 4 Welcome to Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 4. Since GW3 we’ve had to deal with Deadline Day and the first international break of the season. As much as we moan about international football it doesn’t come anywhere close to Deadline Day in the tedium stakes. I’ll refrain from a Guy type rant on the subject of Deadline Day, suffice to say it’s an awful waste of time. FPL Deadline Day Transfers Welcome to Fantasy Football Deadline Day Transfers. Deadline Day was a strange day to say the least. There we were fully expecting a domino effect of expensive deals with Alexis Sanchez, Philippe Coutinho, Riyad Mahrez and Virgil van Dijk all expecting to leave clubs, while the Diego Costa stand-off may be sorted and there was speculation aplenty with many other names expecting to be cashing a fat signing-on fee. In the end the day fell flat, none of the aforementioned players moved and will feel disappointed at the outcome, though it should be emphasised that the Spanish transfer window remains open until midnight tonight (Friday), so it’s possible that Coutinho, Mahrez and Costa could still technically move. FF247 Fantasy Football Team Gameweek 3 Welcome to FF247 Fantasy Football Team Gameweek 3. Our good start didn’t last long. Just one game-week if you want specifics. After finishing GW1 with an impressive total of 86pts, GW2 brought us crashing back down to reality as we finished with just 35pts and a game-week rank of 3,402,911. If it hadn’t been for our United duo of de Gea & Lukaku we’d be stood in the corner wiping away the tears. With 18pts between them they accounted for just over 50% of our point’s total. Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 3 Welcome to Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 3. Today I was treated to a nearly full solar eclipse in my neck of the woods. It was eerie – and that’s putting it lightly. When I walked around outside, it felt like I had sunglasses on due to the lack of light. Streetlamps started turning on all around, but the streets were all empty. The temperature dropped considerably for about twenty minutes. Birds stopped flying and all went to ground in the field where I stood, watching the moon completely block out the sun. It was humbling in a way. Welcome to FF247 Fantasy Football Team Gameweek 2. Well that went rather well. If you’d offered us 86pts ahead of GW1 we’d have bitten your arm off. All those weeks of research & deliberation certainly paid off!!! However it could & should have been 87pts. Late on Friday afternoon a decision was made to replace Cedric with Stephens, the words ‘I’ll do it now’ were uttered but as you’ll see we still own Cedric. But enough about Cedricgate, let’s take a quick look at where the points came from. Our defence did us proud with de Gea, Cedric & Kompany all picking up 6pts.
