Fantasy Football Trends From The Top – GW12 Analysis Welcome to Fantasy Football Trends From The Top – GW12 Analysis. Hopefully, you saw last week’s bonus edition but just in case you missed it… Trends From the Top takes a detailed look at what the league leaders are doing every week in attempt for us, fantasy football fanatics, to capitalise on our observations and analysis of their selections and choices. I hope you enjoy this article as it helps prep you for this upcoming Gameweek! Who was the most captained player by the top ten for Gameweek 12? Based on GW 12 fixtures, it is of little surprise that 90% of our top 10 leaders selected Salah as their captain pick thus yielding them 16 points. Interestingly enough, our top league leader, Toni Haapanen from Finland, was t...[Read More]

Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2018-19

Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2018-19 Whilst we all hate International Breaks to disrupt our FPL flow they are at least good for one thing and that’s an opportunity to put some of our favourite FPL managers on the spot and ask them a few pertinent questions. This week though we’ve decided to give them a break and have instead drafted in some others… First up is everybody’s favourite professional Geordie. Long gone are the days of steel workers and miners filling the terraces of Newcastle, your modern day Toon hero is a bit of a lush who drinks Prosecco most nights and takes showers with his dogs, apparently! Except of course on a Sunday, on the tipple front anyway, no idea about his pet shower schedule! Guinness or Newcastle Brown you ask? ...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Diary – GWs 9-12

Fantasy Football Diary – GWs 9-12 Hello everyone, only me with my dreary FPL ramblings, my walk through the valley of the shadow of death at the in-laws and my continued search for meaningful employment. Or any employment for that matter! To cut a ridiculously long article short, we’re still with the in-laws where we have bad days and really bad days, I’m still looking for work although things do appear to be happening and I’ve had a decent four weeks FPL-wise. All will be revealed if you can stay awake reading the 4-week run through below! For those who suffer with insomnia….. thank me when you wake up. Game-week 9 The lead up to GW9 was fairly dull again from an FPL point of view – my transfer target was Mitrovic who was entering 3 decent looking weeks...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 12

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 12 Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 12. We have a fairly succinct game-week before we all wander off aimlessly into yet another unwanted international break. 10 games over 2 days begins on Saturday at lunch-time as Cardiff host Brighton, sounds like a thriller. We jump then to four 3pm games and we shall be honest here, we aren’t expecting the most action packed Saturday afternoon ever! Huddersfield look to tame Arnie and co, and probably will, to a 0-0 or something similar. Newcastle vs Bournemouth continues the fun, yep that ones got a low score written all over it too. Saints v Watford next, bet against another 0-0 anyone?! Leicester do have what will be sure to be an emotional occasion against Burnley at home, but as a...[Read More]

FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team GW12

FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team GW12 Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team GW12. We somehow garnered 80 points in GW11 and yet another green arrow, and for once a decently fat one. We say somehow because six of our team managed to score just two points each; Patricio, Mendy, Robertson, Salah, Fraser and Vardy, thanks all, for nothing! Our transfer in last week was Arnie and he carried the charge for us weighing in with 12 himself, Kun did us proud as captain with a 26, Alonso got us 6 with an assist, Richarlison repaid some faith with a 15 and Moura surprised us with a cheeky 9. We managed to rise over 40k in the rankings and now sit at about 50k overall with our 4th green arrow in a row under our belt. Last weeks talk of Wildcarding was quickly quashed, and thankfully so, given...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 12

Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 12 Welcome to Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 12. As I sit here about to write my introduction I note my five-year-old is watching the latest episode of Trolls on Netflix. To be honest, Trolls makes a lot more sense to me than FPL these days. Life has dictated that I no longer have nearly as much time as I once did to spend on FPL. It’s gotten to the stage where some might say I’m playing as a casual!! My current rank of 344k would also point towards casual status. I haven’t managed to creep inside the top 200k yet this season. Maybe I’ll just forget about FPL and become a Troll… Over the past number of weeks, we’ve had some excellent Tips articles from the likes of Rosco, GP and Swirly (aside from his sh*t keeper tips!). I’ve decided to try a different approa...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 12

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 12 Welcome to Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 12. It’s not even midweek yet — you probably haven’t had a chance to clean your bed sheets from last weekend’s action — but, given FPL’s intrinsic infidelity, it’s already high time to recommence the search for your next one-gameweek stand and gently feel thei- ok, I’m sorry, not again. We’ve reached November now; things are getting serious. Shall we discuss a selection of 5 players who’ve performed well recently? What a novel concept. If every FPL manager who read this weighed in afterwards, perhaps the consensus could be visualised via some sort of online poll, revealing the trustworthiest of long-term armband-bearers. Frankly, if the FF247 admin can continually clear up the digital mess that I ...[Read More]

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW12

Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW12 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Predictions GW12. Newcastle won! Who saw that coming? Not I and I was there, I had to leave on 92 mins as I simply couldn’t handle the possibility of us throwing it away, thankfully that didn’t happen, happy days. Huddersfield also sneaked a 1-0 victory so sadly we’re still hovering around at the wrong end of the table. Elsewhere it was business as usual, Man City still scoring for fun but unfortunately for those with double City defence (me) they failed to keep the clean sheet many on here predicted. Double drat. There was no double drat for Padster this week who cruised to victory with a tidy 17pts. Last season’s table topper DenPerryDitIt (I often wonder ‘where does that name come?&...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 12

Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 12 Welcome to Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 12. This last weekend saw Man City run rampant and return to the top of the table, Liverpool and Arsenal battle out a tough match earning a share of the spoils and fellow title contenders Chelsea smash Crystal Palace. It is all tight at the top, but City are looking a level above the rest as we all knew anyway, and this should stay the same all-season long. KDB has been announced as injured again but this does not seem a problem for the absolutely stacked City team who had Sterling grab 2 goals and 2 assists so De Bruyne who? I won’t say too much more here other than the fixtures this week were kind of difficult to pick as there were some teams that had nice ones but are in terrible form, so...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 11

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 11 Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 11. We are back with a Saturday lunchtime kick-off as Bournemouth attempt to keep up their recent good form and make Jose even more miserable and negative, if that is indeed possible. We then have just four games at 3pm ahead of an extended and unusual evening program. At 3pm we have Cardiff hosting Leicester in what will be an emotion filled occasion, Everton will be looking to get back to winning ways with a home game against traditionally poor travellers Brighton, Newcastle will be seeking, and probably failing to get, their first win against a more than vibrant Watford and West Ham will have the red carpet out for Joe Hart. Saturday evening is a husband’s delight and a wife’s n...[Read More]

FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team GW11

FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team GW11 Welcome to FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team GW11. What a strange old week that proved to be. So many players not playing for so many managers and so many diverse scores on the boards ranging from the Salah shunners to some posting treble digits. We were somewhat in the middle of those and ended up on 71 which was 13 above the overall average and 2 above the Top 10k one. It meant another green arrow, albeit a small one again, as we moved from 104k to 92k overall. Last week’s success stories were Fraser and Alonso both posting 11 points, Mendy grabbing 6 and Richarlison a 5. And of course our transfer in of Salah in place of Hazard was the biggest of all as he came home with 30 captain points for us. On the downside we had high hopes for both Rober...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 11

Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 11 Welcome to Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 11. The build-up to GW10 revolved around one man; Mo Salah. On Twitter I read with amusement as all those people who’d give it ‘the big un’ when they ditched him weeks ago, suddenly in a panic to bring him back ‘is it worth a -8 to bring him in? I’ll sell my least favourite child, anyone want to swap a kidney for him?’ etc. It was only two game-weeks back that Harry Kane caused a similar panic, and we all know how that went. Fortunately, Salah delivered. Sadio Mane matched Salah’s 15pt return, softening the blow for those who had stuck by the Senegalese instead, but looking through my mini-leagues there was still plenty who went with neither. Ouch. While half the FPL community worried about ‘no Mo’,  it was ‘...[Read More]
