FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 26

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 26 Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 26 From a relative feast to a a relative famine. Although it is essentially only a couple of games either side of the usual threshold. Just the 8 this time then, with the bulk on Saturday. Bizarrely, there is no early game, so we go at 3pm with Forest at Villa, Brighton hosting Everton, Palace up against Burnley and Fulham going up to Old Trafford. Lots of travelling there then, in the latter 3 games, albeit at a sensible time. Saturday continues at 5.30pm with Bournemouth welcoming Man City, not great but still manageable on a train. That’s before Arsenal and Newcastle do battle into the night at 8pm. Just the 300 miles / 5-6 hours home then, if they’re lucky. At 10pm on a Saturday night. Sheffield United ...[Read More]

Fantasy Football 247 Site Team News Gameweek 26

Fantasy Football 247 Site Team News Gameweek 26 Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW26 Last week we decided to roll one transfer but use the other. That move was one Liverpool player for another. We said goodbye to Trent and brought in VVD and the big Dutchman gave a real captain’s performance getting two 90 minute appearances and a bullet headed goal for a solid return of 10 points!. We, like everyone else in the game, tripled captained the big blonde Norwegian and while it wasn’t an absolute monster score Haaland did get a goal and 2 bonus points for a TC total of 30 points. We got some good returns from Saka (15 pts for the second week in a row), Saliba (6 pts), Alvarez (7 pts) and Darwin and Foden (both 5pts). This gave us a final score of 88 pts, 15pts above the 73pt average. You...[Read More]

Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW26

Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW26 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW26. We will be keeping you all in suspense this week as with the Liverpool v Luton game being on Wednesday and GW25 not finishing until yesterday. It has been a very quick turnaround for our number counters and with life getting in the way we decided to just publish and promise you all a double dose of results in the GW27 article. If FPL can do double gameweeks so can H&L! There are only 8 games to predict this weekend with the Carabao Cup Final meaning no games for Liverpool, Chelsea, Luton and Spurs. Get predicting the other eight games as it’s getting very tight at the top for the run-in! Not many weeks left to claim a FF247 prize or the H&L top spot! THIS WEEK’...[Read More]

FPL Live Match Chat Double Gameweek 25

FPL Live Match Chat Double Gameweek 25 Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Double Gameweek 25 It’s not the biggest of doubles ever but there are four teams involved, including two powerhouses, as well as Luton and Liverpool… What it does do is extend our GW to 12 games, and also means that we have a game every day from Saturday up until Wednesday. Just be aware that this also then means a quick-ish turnaround, as GW26 begins on Saturday 26th, albeit with 3pm KO’s on that day. And that one only has the 8 games. The dreaded blank. With so many games we are happy that a picture can speak a thousand words… or at least 24, in this case: The games in full… Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive cha...[Read More]

Fantasy Football 247 Site Team News Double Gameweek 25

Fantasy Football 247 Site Team News Double Gameweek 25 Welcome to FF247 Site Team DGW25 Our Solanke to Darwin move paid off to the tune of 2pts (Darwin’s 6pts vs Solanke’s 4pts) and whilst Jota (C) looks decent with 14pts, it was the wrong choice as the robot returned with a brace and 26pts for the majority who wisely handed him the armband. Ouch. However, the halftime substitution of Alexander-Arnold was more painful. 4pts was a glimpse of what could have been, and now sadly, he’s out of the double gameweek. We can’t complain too much though, because whilst we had 4 players returning 3 or fewer points, we also had Saka (15pts), Saliba (12pts) and Palmer (10pts). We finished the Game week with 85pts, 23pts over the 62pt average. Our rollercoaster journey of recent w...[Read More]

Negotiating DGW25 and Blank GW26 Part 2

Negotiating DGW25 and Blank GW26 Part 2 A big(ish) DGW? All aboard! Choo, choo, etc… This one comes with a big caveat though; it is followed by BGW26. B being for Blank, not Bad, although either could be equally applied. Either way, it makes both very difficult to negotiate: Do you go all in on 25 and maximise its potential points? Do you do so knowing that you will simply leave a mess to contend with in 26? Do you find a fine balance instead? There is no right answer here (well, there will be, but we can’t reveal what that was until GW27!). All we can do is plan the best that we can, and of course then hope for the best. In the meantime we thought it may be helpful to ask a bunch of our team how exactly they are going to approach it all. If you missed Part 1 then please click ...[Read More]

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 24

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 24 Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 24 Just the 10 games this week. Or, at least there are 10 games this week… A couple of sentences there that will become more pertinent as we step into the next few weeks, with D(ouble)GW’s and B(lank)GW’s aplenty. This one begins on Saturday with Everton going to Man City in the early one, before a relative plethora of 3pm games. Five in fact. Fulham host Bournemouth, Burnley visit Anfield, free-scoring Luton welcome free-conceding Sheffield United, Brighton travel to Spurs and Brentford go to Wolves. The late one sees Newcastle at Forest. Just the two on Sunday with West Ham v Arsenal at 2pm, if they have stopped celebrating, and then Villa v Man Utd at 4,30pm. Palace and Chelsea conclude our N(ormal...[Read More]

Fantasy Football 247 Site Team News Gameweek 24

Fantasy Football 247 Site Team News Gameweek 24 We’re the wallies who sold Ollie Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW24 Could have been better could have been worse. That’s probably the best thing we can say about GW23, and that’s being kind! We went into Monday’s game on 24pts and things were looking grim. It’s good to be somewhat introspective mid-game week but the advice I need to follow myself is to not get too hung up on something that is not yet over. That was the case for us with the 32pts we picked up from our Man City assets (thanks Phil!) making what was still a bad game week (in terms of overall points and a dreaded arrow), that little less painful. We only have ourselves to blame. I say that, but 3/6 members of the site team did vote against selling Watkins, however, it’s a demo...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 24

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 24 Welcome to Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 24 Ok, so the man who almost made this article redundant, both last season, and early this, is finally back. But he’s not hit the ground running. Yet. And for clarification we are on about Haaland here, not Matt, Init or Gear. The question then, is whether you simply ‘trust in the process’ and go straight back to perma-capo mode, or give him some more time to bed in and ‘re-prove’ his worth? Not only has he not scored though, you would be hard pushed to have even noticed that he was on the pitch on Monday, at times. But then how many times have we said that and he’s still been stood there holding the match ball at the end. If not him, then who? Well, it turns ou...[Read More]
