Promoted Teams analysis – Nottingham Forest Welcome to the second part of our look at the promoted teams for the coming season. Following Bournemouth, the only way is north really, so let’s head to Robin Hood country. Nottingham Forest (or Notts Forest) are back in the Premier League after 23 years away. The last time they played a PL match The Backstreet Boys were top of the charts (with ‘I Want It That Way’, fact fans). Harking back even further (pre-Premier League), they remain one of only two UK clubs (the other being Liverpool) to win the European Cup twice in a row (1979 & 1980). Their nicknames include ‘The Garibaldi’, ‘The Reds’ and ‘The Tricky Trees’. They ply their trade at the City Ground in front of a maximum crow...[Read More]
Promoted Teams analysis – Bournemouth Another season beckons, and with that comes a trio of new clubs to ride the storm. They have reached this hallowed league through grit, determination, and goals galore. Realistically, one of them (or all of them?!) will probably return to the Championship once GW38 has been played. As part of our build-up to another thrilling season, let’s look at each promoted club in turn and see what fantasy gems we can unearth. Let’s begin at the top of the pile, alphabetically speaking, with AFC Bournemouth. Having finished second in the 2021/22 Sky Bet Championship season they gained automatic promotion back to the Premier League, after two seasons away. The Vitality Stadium (AKA Dean Court) is their home ground which also happens to be the PL...[Read More]
FF247 FPL Pre Season Hub 2022/23 Welcome to FF247 FPL Pre Season Hub 2022/23 In this season of a first ever winter World Cup, and hence an early start to the domestic football calendars across the European Continent, you could be forgiven for saying …. “What, Pre Season games? Already?” Last season only ‘ended’ 35 days ago domestically with the Champions League final in Paris. Still, Liverpool will be back in action a week on Tuesday against Manchester United in a friendly. In Thailand. When you factor in that most players then had to go represent their country in World Cup, African Nations Cup or Nations League matches, then there truly is no break these days. More FPL rotation than ever before, anyone? – that’s before you consider we now have 5 subs per team per game now. Ha! But we at F...[Read More]

For now this is simply a placeholder and an opportunity for folk to begin discussing the season ahead in the comments below, should they wish to do so. FPL FIXTURE TRACKER...[Read More]

FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 38 Welcome to FPL Live Match Chat Gameweek 38 The final reckoning is upon us, both in Premier League terms and in FPL ones. The title is still (just about) up for grabs and there are a few other bits to sort out too, CL places for one, relegation for another! As for logistics this one is as simple as it gets, all games begin at 4pm on Sunday and in the blink of an eye it will all be over. Title may be won, but more importantly Mini-Leagues will be won and lost! This is possibly the most stressful day of all for FPL managers and on this particular occasion it is difficult not to think back to that infamous Aguerooooooooooooooo goal and it’s ramifications not only for the destiny of the Premier League title but the FPL one too. As some poor sod lost out on ...[Read More]
FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups Gameweek 38 Welcome to FF247 Site Team & Predicted Line Ups Gameweek 38 Free Hit? Completed it mate…. Our final chip of the season was planned in advance to be played in Double Gameweek 37 – and it was Free Hit Time! Not to blow our own collective trumpet, but we nailed it. 110 points in total – an enormous 67 (SIXTY SEVEN) above the weekly average and hence, we take our largest ranking jump of the season and approach the final gameweek of the season at 80,272 overall. We are on course for a better finish than last season when we ended up just outside the quarter million mark. Far from our personal best of 5757 in 2018/19 and the 5921 (in 2014/15) but having made a bit of a mess of the Triple Captain chip (well GP did) –...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 38 Welcome to Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 38 And there it was gone. And in all honesty, good riddance to it. (And yes I know you shouldn’t (really) begin sentences with ‘And’, especially not on an article that has pretty much all of your (sometimes pedantic) writing team featuring on it!). And I don’t care! But (yeah, I know…) back to that season… We pretty much all hoped it would be more of a ‘normal’ one but it proved itself to be anything but, once again. And in all honesty, it was a pain in the arse, again. Fixtures cancelled at the drop of a hat, GW’s re-arranged, games re-arranged, Covid protocols installed and taken the piss out advantage of. All in all, it was a bit of a mess a...[Read More]

Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW38 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW38. The Everton fans may have stormed the pitch but it’s not all over just yet. We still of course have one more game week to play and we are once more forced to delay the results thanks to another hectic turnaround. We will publish our final article next week where we’ll reveal the winners from the last few weeks and crown the overall H&L champion! This one should be a fun one to predict; throw out your 2-1 and 1-1 results because GW38 tends to be a bit crazy! We’ve seen some huge and strange scores on the final game week of the season in years gone by, I’d imagine this one will be no different. It’s still all to play for with the League and the fina...[Read More]
