Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW30

Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW30 Welcome to Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW30. So what did we learn this past game-week? Well Arsenal are still rubbish, perhaps that’s unfair on Brighton given their result the previous game-week, but come on, it’s 3 defeats on the bounce for the gunners now, what are the chances of it being 4 come next week? A fixture like Swansea v West Ham would have been a shoe-in for a low-score draw earlier in the season, but in recent weeks they’ve become somewhat unpredictable; a 4-1 defeat in GW28, a 4-1 win in GW29, will Huddersfield be able to keep the result respectable this week? Your guess is as good as (probably better) than mine. This week we have two sets of winners, as we reveal the results of both GW’s 28 and 29: In GW28 it was Shanec who came out ...[Read More]

FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 29

FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 29 Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 29. It’s dawned on us this week that we’ve been bloody consistent this season. Consistently average! We haven’t had an overall rank in the millions but nor have we had a 5 digit one either. We’ve basically settled into a pattern of floating around the 200k mark. Statistically this puts us in the top 4%. Realistically, it’s not really quite where we want to be. Are we just being too safe? Do we not take the (odd) risks that one maybe would on their own team if it wasn’t so public? Perhaps. Well, we’ve thrown the shackles off this week and gone bat sh!t wild! We haven’t really, of course, but that’s how a certain decision was presented to...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 29

Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 29 Welcome to Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 29. Tips at this stage of the season can be tricky and there’s my excuse straight away for this article. BOOM! I only half joke as many FPL teams look similar with five or six names being prevalent in many active teams. There are of course those looking for the differential, but again they are few and far between particularly because we have most of the top clubs blanking in GW31 leaving just a few names that will be popular for that unique week. There are of course two rounds of fixtures before we get to GW31 and they should far from be ignored – every point gained at this stage of the season is precious and results in a decent rise in the rankings. So allow me to look through each position and attempt to find som...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 29

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 29 2017/18 We are at that point in the season, where you likely already have a fair idea who will be your captain next game-week. Some weeks we’re blessed with a plethora of options and it’s then our job to disseminate data and present it back to you. This however, is not one of those weeks. Init helpfully posts the captain ownership stats in the comments as the game-week begins, last week they showed it was pretty much a two horse race between Salah and Kane. Unless you’re mad, crazy or Matt (Aaron Mooy anyone?), most of you will likely be looking to one of those once again this week. Of course, I could throw in a few differentials like, say, oh I don’t know… Aaron Mooy (sorry I couldn’t resist), or maybe I could do as AT suggested a few weeks back ...[Read More]

Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW29

Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW29 If you had to put money on a team scoring 4 goals last game-week, then Liverpool would likely have been your pick given their current form and fixture. Would anyone have chosen Brighton? Probably not, but as they had already shown in GW26, they’re a bit handy at home all of a sudden. Forgotten man Manolo Gabbiadini popped up with a 90th minute equaliser for Southampton, another clean sheet gone in FPL, but a nice predictable 1-1 in B&P – Winning!! The Sunday results were nothing out of the ordinary, although many would have hoped (and predicted) that Spurs managed more than just the solitary goal against Palace. With the game-week officially still on-going (Arsenal v Man City play Thursday – weather permitting) there won’t be any winners reveale...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 28

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 28 Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 28. Our gameweek kicks off in the East Midlands as Leicester look to bounce back from their mauling at Man City as they play host to Stoke. We then have five 3pm matches as Bournemouth host Newcastle, Brighton welcome Swansea, goals play hide and seek as Southampton go to Burnley, Salah and Firmino look to dismantle West Ham at Anfield and bottom bandits West Brom have a must-win match up with Huddersfield. The evening fare takes us down to Watford as thousands of angry FPL managers kick their TV’s in anger as Walcott misses chance after chance for the Toffees. Sunday sees Arsenal meet Man City in the League Cup final, but before that The Senile One meets The Fixer as Man United ‘w...[Read More]

FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 28

FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 28 Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 28. Stop the clock, we had a good week! We scored 86pts, alright, alright we know many of you scored more, but we enjoyed a rise of 37k places as we rise to 221k. Still a lot of work to be done of course, but the big weeks are still to come (we say in hope!) If we had only played Niasse instead of Lingard we’d have scored ten points more. Then again if we had played Niasse he would have got injured kicking off knowing our misfortune. We didn’t captain Aguero which was also a blow but Salah did ok the day after. Oh what could have been! Oh and Alonso… guaranteed clean sheet and yet the nobhead twists his ankle and misses the points. Tosser. Other highlights were Firmino (12), Shaqiri ...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 28

Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 28 Welcome to Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 28. So, here we are then, the storm as a result of the FA Cup fifth round is upon us and we’re already seeing games taken out in Gameweek 31, with another postponement possible once Spurs undertake the replay against Rochdale. On the basis that the north London team makes it past the League 1 side – like Man City didn’t on Monday night – to Round 6, their game against Newcastle becomes the sixth fixture out of a possible 10 that will be a big fat blank for that week. Looking at that week in March, you may want to use your free hit chip, however do bear in mind Gameweek 35 then carries with it blank gameweek possibilities as well. It clashes with Round 7 of the same tournament with Man City v Swansea, Br...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 28

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 28 2017/18 Welcome to Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 28. Guess who’s back, back again, Mito’s back, tell a friend. Is that Kun and Salah going round the outside, round the outside? Sorry, sometimes I get caught listening to some old Em. So, I have been asked to write the captaincy article this week and as I always do, I pitched a different idea. As always though, it was shot down. To be fair, I can’t really remember what I was pitching, is just in my nature to be difficult. Well, at least that’s what my mom has always said, of course, I disagree with her assessment. Speaking of momma bear, she has always been a conservative lady and if she were advising me on who to put in this article, she probably say “Give th...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 28

Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 28 Welcome to Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 28. And so it all becomes a bit clearer… Blank GW31 that is. We’d best spend a moment talking about that particular GW as it appears it may be the only one left which actually matters. Apparently. We are being facetious of course…. It is worth a mention though, don’t get us wrong. It’s significant in so much as it is on the horizon and will only feature 4 or 5 games and therefore 8 or 10 teams – Bournemouth vs West Brom Stoke vs Everton Liverpool vs Watford Huddersfield vs Crystal Palace Spurs v Newcastle is the 5th game and is dependant on Rochdale going to Wembley and winning. Which probably won’t happen. But don’t forget that we have 3 GW...[Read More]

Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW28

Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW28 Looking at last game-week, there are only a couple of scores that really standout. The obvious one is of course Newcastle’s 1-0 victory over Man Utd, one half of the Brothers Chuckle is especially happy with that one! The other; Huddersfield’s 4-1 win over Bournemouth, the other half of the brothers Chuckle no doubt equally made up, given his love for a certain Aaron Mooy. The rest was all pretty much as expected; Man City scored loads and won, Watford showed their 4-1 win over Chelsea was a one-off, reverting to type in a 2-0 defeat West Ham and Spurs proved once more that they are top-dogs of North London with a 1-0 win over Arsenal. Many correctly predicted Harry Kane as first scorer (hardly a Mystic Meg moment), but its last week’s winner, the ma...[Read More]
