As I sit here about to write my introduction I note my five-year-old is watching the latest episode of Trolls on Netflix. To be honest, Trolls makes a lot more sense to me than FPL these days. Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 11 Welcome to Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 11. The build-up to GW10 revolved around one man; Mo Salah. On Twitter I read with amusement as all those people who’d give it ‘the big un’ when they ditched him weeks ago, suddenly in a panic to bring him back ‘is it worth a -8 to bring him in? Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 10 Welcome to Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 10. I’ve stepped back in to the breach this week, out of turn, which I’m happy with. I’m using this as a form of therapy for you see, because the last time I wrote Tips, for Gameweek 8, I did OK I think, well at least 87.5% of my Tips returned immediately (you won’t go back and check or do the maths!). Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 7 Who’ll be the first manager to get fired? Could the sack race be won by Mark Hughes, as his Southampton side have won one game in six and conceded five goals in their last two? Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 6 Hello everyone and welcome to Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 6. I came across the following quote from Ian Holloway during the week and it sums up many a fantasy football team, “To put it in gentleman’s terms, if you’ve been out for a night and you’re looking for a young lady and you pull one, you’ve done what you set out to do. To Salah or not to Salah… So I set out to write a post on the “to Salah or not to Salah” debate as I was sure many would hit the wildcard button during this international break. We all know what Salah did last year and that he’s started this season with consistency, but no double-digit returns. The question, then, is whether investing 13m in him is worth it? As I worked on this comment, I ended up expanding the conversation in order to explore which ‘heavy-hitters’ you should fit in your squad, particularly if you hit that itchy wildcard button during this international break. In it I lamented the International Break, threw in a few clichés about it being far too soon for FPL managers, and chucked in a few funnies about Luke Shaw banging his head, and how it may do more good than harm in his case.
