FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 11

FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 11 Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 11. It was a poor game-week for many and we were not about to let down the masses. We didn’t even break the average, scoring just 42pts vs an average of 46, which sees our ranking drop down to 348,773. Very disappointing. In a week where a load of teams saw their vice-captain come into play, sadly ours didn’t. Richarlison (c) played, sort of, did nothing, got booked and scored a point. Idiot. Our vice-captain was ironically our highest scorer – good old Firmino, we never doubted you. Gross and Sterling scored 7 each, jeez even Alonso scored 6 with a clean sheet for once and still we fell. We should have known what was to come when we left de Gea on the bench for the early...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 11

Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 11 Welcome to Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 11. The game-week before an international break is always a tricky one for FPL managers. For some it will be chasing lost points from the week before while for others it may to build on a good week. It’s not really the ideal time to wildcard as many of the players will be travelling near and far over the next fortnight, whilst the most experienced and wise managers will look, if possible, to hold their free transfer this week in order to have two to utilise when the inevitable injuries, rest or rotation occurs when the players arrive back late from international duty. So to write your Tips article is tricky this week – but of course when the chips are down and the difficult questions need answering, FF247 turn to m...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 11 2017/18

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 11 2017/18 Welcome to Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 11. If you captained Sead Kolasinac or Fernandinho last weekend, congratulations you rocked GW10! You’re also slightly unhinged and should perhaps seek medical advice (Mauricio Pochettino may be able to help, but more on that later). Unfortunately last week was a bleak affair for most of the front line captain candidates. Pep got in an early trick-or-treat prank by leaving Aguero on the sidelines, again; Kane did his hamstring in; Salah seemed determined to do everything except score against Huddersfield; and De Bruyne had an uncharacteristically quiet day. With all that in mind, how best to approach GW11? Will you play safe from the list below? Or will you try and luck out on a cava...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 11

Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 11 Welcome to Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 11. Let me begin by giving you an apology to start the article. I’m sorry I’m not as funny, witty and engaging this week as I’d like to be. I haven’t smiled all that much, and I forget what the sound of my own laugh is at this point. I run through the motions of a typical daily existence I suppose. I eat, I bathe, go to work…rinse and repeat. But the joy isn’t there for me right now, and I think that shows in my writing. And come to think of it, I’m not even angry either. It’s not as if I’d suddenly explode into rage with the slightest provocation. There is just an empty feeling. A void. How else do you expect an Everton fan to feel at this point? I honestly couldn’t be more emo right ...[Read More]

FF247 #UCLFantasy Captain Picks Matchday 4 Welcome back to another of The Stats Zone’s guest pieces here on FF247. This time we’re looking at the main captain candidates for #UCLFantasy matchday 4. If you’re familiar with the Champions League fantasy game, then you’ll know by now that one of the key strategic differences to FPL is the ability to swap the armband between Tuesday and Wednesday’s matches, giving you a second bite at the cherry in case your original choice didn’t quite do the business. And so, here’s our lowdown of the main captaincy options for this coming week. We’ve got three selections for Tuesday’s matches, and three for Wednesday’s… The code to join the FF247 mini-league is 31736NF8 The code to join the TSZ mini-league is 92434WJW TUESDAY Edinson Cavani — PSG — For...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 10 Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 10. Here we go, another week of FPL is set to go. This game-week kicks off with a lunch time fixture as a match-up of who will be the second best team in the EPL takes place when United welcome in Kane and his staff. That is followed by five 3pm games. The born again, dead again, born again Arsenal spank the Swans back to Wales, Palace and West Ham provide the comedy in their fixture assuming we all are still in need of any further laughter after watching Lovren and Mignolet last week. Speaking of which, Lolverpool mix it up with Huddersfield in what could turn ugly if LFC get down, let’s hope they do. Watford and the incredible acrobatic diving Richarlison look to recover their form whe...[Read More]

FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 10

FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 10 Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 10. What a strange game-week. Come Saturday night with just two Sunday matches to come we were languishing badly. Our captain Sterling had persuaded Pep he was tired and was left on the bench, Jesus was also benched but did nothing in the 15mins he was given, Silva played the 90 but did nothing, de Gea for once let us down and Alonso, ah good old Alonso, the bane of our team, the man who has brought division and uprising to our meetings contributed a solitary point to our cause – even his most die-hard supporter is having trouble justifying his presence anywhere near our team. There were some positives, but they were minimal – assists for Groß and Choupo and a clean sheet for Cedric – ever...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 10

Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 10 Welcome to Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 10. Well, that was a rubbish gameweek, wasn’t it?! With my phone usually buzzing away each gameweek with goal and FPL-related alerts, I wondered if there was something wrong with it on the Saturday as nothing happened! You then hear stories of people who had forgotten to change their team, meaning they hadn’t brought in the likes of Jesus or Morata, kept the captain armband on Kane – having placed it on him before the Bournemouth game – and not done what I did and benched Monreal either. Those are the few managers who will be looking at some serious green arrows right now! Anyway, it’s already a quarter of the way through the season and so let’s see if we can banish the ghouls ahead of the gameweek near...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 10

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 10 2017/18 Welcome to Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 10. I must admit I completely forgot I was writing this article this week due to mixing up Uni work and FPL work but after getting a swift kick from a certain big chicken I went into overdrive to deliver this masterpiece to you all! Now down to business, Liverpool let in goals (shocker!!), Kane scored a few and Kun was back on the score board. All pretty expected things to happen this past weekend but one thing that was (perhaps) not so expected was Pep Guardiola the Patron Saint of Rotation! With most people transferring Sterling in and even captaining him and others having Jesus up top after Aguero’s injury Pep decided to screw everyone over. I loved it because I have neither and seeing ...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 10

Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 10 Welcome to Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 10. I’ve had a couple of bizarre experiences writing here on this site during my tenure. Some of you will remember the DayQuil incident from a season ago – I think I singlehandedly wrote more about the MLS in two hours than the entirety of their pool of staff wrote about their league all week. And before that, I had those growing pains in trying to learn the nonsensical nature of writing proper English (essentially, if you think you should add a ‘u’ to a word, just add the ‘u’ to be safe). And there was also a time when I used a double space between each of my sentences (American standard) – and it still makes me laugh imagining the editors going over my entire article each week ...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 9

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 9 Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 9. We get started early with our FPL weekend with a Friday match up of West Ham’s Jose ‘2 point’ Hernandez vs that guy with the weird B or double ss, Groß from Brighton. Saturday then sees the struggling champions Chelsea facing off against the surprising Hornets. Five 3pm games follow that lunch time affair. Huddersfield host the ‘scared of Liverpool’ Manchester United, City go for 10 goals vs Burnley, Newcastle takes on Hodgson and all his memes, Stoke show their face vs Bournemouth and Swansea tangle with the Shakespeare-less Leicester. Sunday brings a conclusion to GW9 with Everton and their soon to be sacked Koeman versus the will never be sacked Wenger and hi...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 9

FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 9 Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 9. Not exactly a classic week for us the last one! 8 of our players scored 4 points or less. Our top scorer was Sterling, who was actually our transfer in last time, so at least we had some modicum of satisfaction in a job well done in that respect. That he scored almost a third of our points was either simply genius or a bad reflection on the other two thirds! Almost certainly the latter. That we left good old Tom Carroll and his 8 points on the bench, and that he would have been our 3rd top scorer had we not, was simply either dumb or a bad reflection on the other 8 players! Almost certainly the latter. Captain Kane bombed but obviously in a week when most players rued the same fate it di...[Read More]
