Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 23

Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 23 Welcome to Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 23. You’ll have to forgive me if my first shot at fixtures turns out a little bit out of sorts. After questioning whether our investment in this early DGW I caved and invested a -8 in Ogbonna and Eriksen. I got knocked out of the Cup by a Son goal that salvaged a point for my beloved Spurs. I don’t know what to think… While every point in the league is important I think I would have taken the Ogbonna CS and given my self something to continue playing this miserable game for. As it is, I saw all red arrows and am wallowing outside of the top 600k, with very little to play for as I got beat by my wife in my family head-to-head league… again… So, why would you bother to read on then? Good quest...[Read More]

Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2017-18 Brutal Honesty

Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2017-18 Brutal Honesty BRUTAL. HONESTY. We are past the half way stage, and have a bit of of a break now, so we thought it pertinent to check back in with a few old hands to see how their seasons are going and what their thoughts are on both the fare so far and how they think things will pan out ahead. Given the title, we have chosen them carefully – In trap No.1 is Mr Brutal himself. Mito. It’s practically his middle name. If anyone ever needs a ‘pick me up’ during a particularly dire GW then be sure to follow us on twitter… Mito will be on hand to drive that stake right the way through. And then twist it. In trap No.2 is Mr Honesty. You get what you see with Cookie. He’s been there, seen it and do...[Read More]

TO HIT or NOT TO HIT – THE SEQUEL!

TO HIT or NOT TO HIT – THE SEQUEL! Welcome to TO HIT or NOT TO HIT – THE SEQUEL!. The last time we examined the ‘hit phenomenon’ was in the inaugural edition of everybody’s favourite Fantasy Football Magazine. Which was way back in GW30 of last season. And it’s fair to say that it garnered a great reaction, on many platforms. It sparked some very highbrow debates in fact, even on twitter! We shall come onto those later. Let’s begin with the basics though and tell you what we are going to examine in ‘THE SEQUEL’. Let’s go very basic: he keeps saying ‘hits’, what the heck is he talking about? Well, a ‘hit’ is simply taking a -4 point deduction in order to bring in an additional player in any given gameweek, above your allocated free transfer(s). The theory is that it allows you t...[Read More]

Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW19 – GW22

Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW19 – GW22 Welcome to Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW19 – GW22 (more on that in a moment). Man City and Liverpool were perhaps the predictable stand-out scores this week with 4 goals in their respective fixtures. Joining them in the ‘4 goal gang’ this week, were Huddersfield who recorded a surprise 1-4 victory away to Watford, anyone have that? No me neither. LAST WEEKS WINNER! And finally we have a correct first goal scorer prediction! Where many have failed before, Coyotes correctly predicted Christian Benteke would be the first scorer in the GW. Those 5pts were enough to propel Coyotes to the top, finishing as this week’s winner on 12 pts. Mito came a close second with a solid 11 pts and this week’s top 3 was completed by Pancho and DMC who weig...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 21 2017/18

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 21 2017/18 Welcome to Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 21. I’m not sure why I’m bothering to write this gameweek’s Captain Picks article. There’s only one candidate who’s really worth considering. I won’t name him but his form’s just been insane. Saturday 23rd December: hat-trick. Tuesday 26th December: hat-trick. It’d likely be rather embarrassing for me to back against another one. He’s been transferred in by over 120,000 since. And rising. Still, if you’re one who follows actual fixtures over form, here are 5 alternative and vaguely available candidates for your team’s armband… Alvaro Morata vs Stoke (H) My captain. I wish anyway, if I actually owned him. Stoke have already conceded 41 goals and 3+ against each of the following: West ...[Read More]

FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 20

FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 20 Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 20. In a week where some scored over 100 or at least very close to it, we scored 81. Still way above the average of 60 so we should be pleased and it has seen us rise us to a season’s best rank of 107,751. Highlights were a Kane hat-trick, the usual goal and assist for Salah, clean sheets for Christensen, Otamendi and Dunk and a captain’s performance from Sterling. Sadly Begovic, Masuaku, Hazard, Richarlison and Shaqiri scored the grand total of 8pts between them so we expect some payback from them this week. Last weeks result… We have held our transfer this week We had actually planned to sell Lowton for Jones but a cheeky and ill-timed price rise for United’s fine...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 20

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 20 2017/18 Welcome to Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 20. Boxing Day footy is one of the great traditions of a British Christmas. Whether one dons their hat, gloves and scarf to attend the matches or settles down on the sofa to watch on tv, we are set for a football feast. And in FPL terms, this is a great time to make great strides on ones mini-league rivals who may easily miss a deadline or not keep up with press conference comments. There are of course other Boxing Day traditions and let’s look at some as we explore and analyse who is the best candidate for your all-important FPL armband in GW20. The Fox Hunt Richarlison – home vs Leicester Despised by many, yet still enjoyed by some the fox hunt is a tradition that dates back ...[Read More]
