FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 14 Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 14. BEFORE YOU READ ANYTHING ELSE… THIS WEEKS DEADLINE IS TONIGHT! 18:45 GMT Raz you have been warned! Talk about chasing last week’s points! We brought in Wilson and Pogba after they seemingly ‘hit form’ with a joint total of 29 points last time. This time… 5! In total. That’ll teach us. Or them. We are on a wildcard this week, but will they make the cut? Stay tuned to find out. In total we got 57 points which was actually ok, the average was 43 and it saw us ahem ‘rocket’ up the rankings (not that hard from such a lowly base!) from 420k to 279,771. Still a long way to go but at least it’s a jump in the right direction after three cons...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 14 2017/18 Welcome to Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 14. I’m rarely referred to as ‘a man of few words’. Indeed, some around these parts (Mito), have ribbed me mercilessly over my inability to keep my word count below Tolkien levels. Therefore, with time short and only 2 days between game-weeks 13 and 14, time, both yours and mine is precious. I shall endeavour to embrace brevity; no recounting my DIY mishaps, no shameless bragging of my latest ‘vacation’, no time for distractions. The first mid-week fixtures of the season will give us all a glimpse of things to come; three game-weeks, played over ten days. Normality briefly returns for GW15, then we’re officially into the festive fixtures, and it’s looking busier than ever this season. GW16...[Read More]
Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW14 Welcome to Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW14. Hello and welcome to Barry and Paul’s GW14 Predictions. Games are going to come thick and fast now as we start heading into the hectic Christmas period but that just makes it more exciting right?! This past weekend threw up some surprising results most notably the Baggies grabbing a draw against Tottenham. This has lead to some differing points scored by all you entrants but it was certainly a tight one! LAST WEEKS WINNER! Mito was the winner in GW13! He scored 13 points just edging out Smash10 who came second with 11 points and a further four players were back on 10 points, better luck next week everyone! Congrats to Mito so please contact FF247 at contact@fantasyfootball247.co.uk to get your hands...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 13 Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 13. The game-week starts on Friday this week. In about 10 minutes in fact. That’s assuming you see this when it gets published at 6.50pm on Friday. If you are looking at this bewildered at 8pm on Friday having just logged on for your weekly RMT then what can we say! We have mentioned it on nearly every article this week. There will always be one though… Moyes and his disappointing XI are in search of a win, hoping the 3 points will give 999 operators a day off when they tangle with Leicester at the Olympic Stadium. Saturday brings us six fixtures. Palace welcomes Stoke, United crushes Brighton and Toon look to get back on the right path when Richarlison and his mates visit St. Jame...[Read More]
FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 13 Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 13. Oooooh Marcos Alonso. Oooooh Marcos Alonso. We knew he’d come good in the end. Patience is a virtue. Try, try, try again. Our Spanish superstar did us proud, rewarded our loyalty and faith with a goal, clean sheet and 2bps as Chelsea swept aside West Brom with ease to send Pulis back to the job centre. Alas, Alonso was our highest scorer of the week but was closely followed by Pascal Gross whose goal on Monday night was supplemented by 3bps. A nice finish to a week, which was average. Well, very slightly above average – we scored 61pts vs an average of 56, yet it was not quite enough for a green arrow. Our third red arrow in succession takes us down to 420,608. Goals from Richarlison a...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 13 Welcome to Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 13. After the boredom the international break brings, here we are at the start of what is going to be a busy time for Premier League teams – and therefore FPL players alike – as the fixtures are crammed together in the run up to Christmas and New Year. First, of course, are the Champions League games that will see Spurs, Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea and Man United all playing – along with Arsenal and Everton in the Europa League – and so it may be wise to hold off on your purchase until you know the player you want is still fit. And not fainting or being in car crashes. Yes, I’m looking at you, Sergio. Anyway, it turns out Asmir Begovic is heavily into his FPL, believe it or not. It must be ...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 13 2017/18 Welcome to Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 13. Well, here we go, dear managers — 13 — the unlucky-for-some gameweek is looming. I suppose that’s true for any given game-week; fortunes varied widely in the FPL world last weekend. The shockwaves of both Salah and Hazard’s braces touched almost all of our teams, a phenomena now known as the Spacey effect, except managers who actually owned these players certainly weren’t complaining. The important question is: who will reveal themselves as the next big scorer? I think the following 5 candidates, given their delicate ball control and ability to score frequently, all have a good chance… Riyad Mahrez vs West Ham (A) Now, this isn’t quite 2015–16 and the dazzling peak of Mahrez’s ca...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 13 Welcome to Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 13. Apologies up front, lads, ladies, folk. I’ve included City as my top pick this week. So it matters not if I write this article or if somebody else writes it, the boredom factor of being hit over the head with the blatantly obvious really isn’t the fault of the writer. And here’s the thing, we could go total fantasy hipster on you all and just leave them out of the article – but we’re trying to be respectable around here. And we shall give no safe harbour to hipsters of any kind. If you are reading this and think you might be a hipster yourself, ask yourself this question: does me saying that we don’t tolerate hipsters, fantasy or otherwise, offend you? If it does, you might be a hi...[Read More]
Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW13 Welcome to Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW13. I’ll admit we were feeling a little apprehensive ahead of launching our very first predictions competition last week. Potty’s substantially proportioned footwear are indeed too big to fill; more like clown shoes on myself and my fellow Chuckle Brother’s average sized feet, which is perhaps quite fitting. Thankfully you all embraced the competition, 52 entries was more than we could have hoped for, we even received predictions from the man himself, a real honour, thanks Potty. LAST WEEKS WINNER! Bigpopz was the big winner in GW12! Popz finished on 13pts, enough to see off second placed runners up DMC and Jamie MC on 12 pts each, better luck next time guys! Many congratulations Bigpopz, please c...[Read More]
FF247 #UCLFantasy Captain Picks Matchday 5 Some may argue that the importance of the captain’s armband is negligible on the pitch, but when it comes to fantasy football it can often make or break a manager’s week, even a season in the case of #UCLFantasy. Here are The Stats Zone’s seven candidates to consider ahead of Matchday 5: The code to join the FF247 mini-league is 31736NF8 The code to join the TSZ mini-league is 92434WJW TUESDAY Sergio Agüero — Manchester City — Forward — €10.5m — Feyenoord (H) Not a name often coupled with the ‘differential’ tag, but with Messrs Ronaldo, Neymar, Messi, Cavani, Kane and Lukaku as his premium forward peers and playing under a manager prone to more rotation than a wind farm, the Argentinean striker is currently just that. Owned by just 2% of #UCLFanta...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 12 Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 12. And so we are finally back and live with some FPL action. It’s a protracted one in that we go over 3 days from Saturday to Monday but also an odd one in so much as 8 of the games are done and dusted by Saturday evening. We get going with a cracker as Arsenal host Spurs at lunchtime on Saturday and then we see the likes of Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea all in action at 3pm. Man United bring the day to a close with an evening clash with Rafa and his Toon troops. Sunday sees just the one game at 4pm as Watford and West Ham are tasked with putting the ‘Super’ in Sunday. Fat chance! Brighton and Stoke ride in to save the day on Monday with a classic in the making. Yep, fat c...[Read More]
FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 12 Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 12. Hmmmm, our slide into mediocrity accelerated in GW11 as we scored 43pts (vs an average of 44) which was a GW rank of 2,847,986, giving us a new global rank of 406,870. Bizarrely this was the second clean sheet in a row for Alonso and Chelsea – clearly his success does not reflect to us – when we score well he doesn’t, when he does we don’t. We are clearly not meant to be together. Our City trio of Sterling, Silva and Jesus scored 5 each which is symmetrically pleasing, while Richarlison scored again and would have contributed more if Young Tom had not missed the penalty that our Brazilian hero won. The rest were rubbish – Kane (c) was another Wembley disas...[Read More]
