Fantasy Football Christmas Tips Gameweek 19 – 23

Fantasy Football Christmas Tips Gameweek 19 – 23 Welcome to Fantasy Football Christmas Tips Gameweek 19 – 23. Christmas duos continue to be a massive theme from ages past to the modern day. Whether it is Mary and Joseph from the original Christmas story, or Mel and Kim rocking around the Christmas tree or indeed Del Boy and Rodney lighting up our screens, the festive season seems to be full of duos doing their thing. We at FF247 are no different. Earlier this week, Inittowinit and Cookie brought you the Fixtures article and the same combo are back with the Festive Tips article. Due to his his alleged love of a left back, Cookie writes about Keepers and Defenders, while on the back of his GW18 Rooney capo pick and his traditional love of Jon Walters and Jason Puncheon, Init talk...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 19

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 19 2017/18 Welcome to Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 19. Well we have got to the midway point of the season with the last round of games before the fixtures all reverse. This season is flying by and so are the runaway leaders Man City who are flying away from the rest of the competition after going on a 16 game Premier League winning streak. Barring a complete meltdown from City I don’t see them doing a Spurs and throwing the title away (sorry, not sorry). The one thing that has made this season fly by so fast is the amount of footie on the telly and that is what makes this time of year so great. It has been mentioned on the site by many, and the actual managers themselves, that this time of year is very chaotic – with rotation and inj...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Festive Fixture Analysis Gameweek 19

Fantasy Football Festive Fixture Analysis Gameweek 19 Welcome to Fantasy Football Festive Fixture Analysis Gameweek 19. ‘Tis the season to be… *rotated, Fa la la la la la la la la! We jest, sort of. Just as most sensible and forward thinking nations (Spain & Germany spring to mind) look at logging off for a few weeks to recharge their batteries, we decide to flog our players to near exhaustion. Before sending them off to the usual abject World Cup failure in the summer. On the plus side they all get two weeks off before the tournament itself ends so that they can put their feet up and watch the inevitable Spain vs Germany final. Funny, that. GW19 begins on Friday and then sees no less than 4 game-weeks somehow span 14 days, with at least 1 game on 11 of the said 14 days. Ar...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 18 Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 18. And we are back. Again! Get used to the quick turnaround as it is exciting times right now. Presents to buy? Turkeys to prepare? Nah, screw that, it’s football time! Leicester and Palace kick off a bumper weekend that goes all the way through until Monday night this time. They get going at lunch-time on Saturday and are followed by five 3pm games. Saturday evening sees possibly the game of the week as Man City host Spurs in what is a truly mouth-watering clash. Sunday has two games with Man united visiting Pardew and his West Brom team first, followed by Bournemouth hosting Liverpool. Or at least whichever version of Liverpool Klopp chooses to actually place on the field this time. W...[Read More]

FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 18 Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 18. The good thing about this time of the season is that the game-weeks come thick and fast and there isn’t much time to ponder on a rubbish week. We scored 45pts in GW17, below average, dropped in rank to almost 150k. Not what we were hoping for, but let’s be honest we’ve been here before and undoubtedly, we’ll venture there again soon enough. The highlights were obviously few and far between – clean sheets for new recruit Otamendi and a sneaky one for Christensen saw that Lady Luck did actually smile on us briefly. An assist for Richarlison was followed by an injury to the midfielder and it was left to Raheeeeem to (relatively speaking) save us with a couple...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 18

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 18 2017/18 Welcome to Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 18. Ok hands up, who’s up for a Premier league winter break? Anyone? No me either. Managers (Premier league ones that is) always seem more vocal around this time of year, bemoaning the hectic festive schedule; it’s like they didn’t bother to check their fixtures at the start of the season, or maybe they did and just figured they’d moan about it at a later date. Whilst it seems crazy to have so many fixtures crammed into such a short space of time, I for one would not have it any other way. Imagine if every Christmas, the Premier league closed down for business for three to four weeks over the festivities? No FPL for a whole month? (cold shudder) It doesn’t bare thinking about really. For t...[Read More]

Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW18

Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW18 Welcome to Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW18. Will anyone ever predict the first goal scorer of the game week? Daryl Janmaat scored for Watford and the game week’s first goal, those 5 bonus points remain elusive. Leicester and Man City had the standout score-lines of the week, both teams scoring 4 on the road, City’s was predicted by a few, Leicester not so much. LAST WEEKS WINNERS! A strong showing from the contributors this week with Matt and GP coming top of the pile with 14pts closely followed by Silvers on 13pts. Thanks to everyone who entered, better luck next week everyone! Congrats to Matt and GP, please contact FF247 at contact@fantasyfootball247.co.uk to get your hands on that FF247 t-shirt. Weekly Leaderboard (GW18) Winner = Matt and...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 17 Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 17. The matches are coming thick and fast and provide a great opportunity to continue the momentum of a decent previous game-week or alternatively a chance to recover from a shocker. In whichever camp you find yourself, it’s time to go again and we kick off GW17 with three matches this evening. Burnley get the chance to add to their clean sheet collection as they host Stoke, Watford look to bounce back from last weekend’s loss as they go to Palace while Chelsea have the chance to upset many gambler’s accumulators again as they go to Huddersfield. The majority of matches take place on Wednesday. Big Sam’s bus tour takes him and the Toffees to Newcastle, Southampton host ...[Read More]

FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 17

FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 17 Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 17. A fourth green arrow on the spin, what is the world coming to? Maybe we are doing something right after all! 56 points in GW16 was a decent, if unspectacular, performance – the average was 43, so we’re happy and sees us rise to a ranking of 125,647. Like many, our week was dominated and made by Kane the captain who contributed 24 points. Obviously Salah helped, but then everyone has him, while Begovic’s penalty save at Palace helped him return 8pts. With 43 points out of 56 coming from three players, the less said about the rest the better, but many of you had similar outcomes and can relate. We move onto midweek GW17 with 2 free transfers and 2.1mln in the bank. The ...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 17

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 17 2017/18 Welcome to Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 17. Four writers. Four different Captain Picks. Four competitive beasts. This smacks of Four Ball time! The heat is on and the testosterone is high. Mito is sweating in the corner, hoping the drug testers don’t notice him. Cookie is primed, ready and waiting to go, and don’t worry he’s been briefed that a left-back is a no go here. Kop is googling the meaning of positive and Init is looking at the rest and simply shaking his head, as usual : We have a 4 ball on the go – one pick each, the best pick wins. Init: Harry Kane vs Brighton (H) You snooze, you lose. Yeah ok, I got the prime pick here. And if you go with one of the other guys you will be in the minority for ...[Read More]

Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW17

Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW17 Welcome to Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW17. Another week, another obscure first goal scorer. While most went with a Chelsea player and in most cases a Chelsea win, it was Marco Arnautovic who popped up to disappoint in the Hammers surprise 1-0 victory over Chelsea. Special mention to Swirly who did correctly predict a West Ham win! 8 of the 10 matches finished in a draw or a win by a 1 goal margin, Spurs 5-1 destruction of Stoke (thank you Harry!!) the only standout scoreline. LAST WEEKS WINNERS! Last week there was an administrative error in the counting department, thankfully Coys was very understanding (I bet Mito would have kicked right off) in pointing this out and the error was quickly rectified. I’m assured that no such error will be o...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 16

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 16 Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 16. Last week the author of this short article waxed lyrical about the return of ‘The Lord’ and Big Sam. Unfortunately we have no returning greats this week but we doubt you could top those two numpties anyway. Chelsea, yet again, kick off our game-week at lunchtime on Saturday as they visit a West Ham side who have not been revitalised by their new manager. Hardly surprising as it is David Moyes. 3pm on Saturday afternoon brings us five more games. None of which are likely to set pulses racing. Marco ‘you’re not as good as Big Sam’ Silva brings his Watford side to Burnley. Crystal Palace who are unbeaten in their last four at home welcome Bournemouth. Newbies Huddersfield & Brighton face ...[Read More]
