Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 10 Welcome to Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 10. I’ve had a couple of bizarre experiences writing here on this site during my tenure. Some of you will remember the DayQuil incident from a season ago – I think I singlehandedly wrote more about the MLS in two hours than the entirety of their pool of staff wrote about their league all week. And before that, I had those growing pains in trying to learn the nonsensical nature of writing proper English (essentially, if you think you should add a ‘u’ to a word, just add the ‘u’ to be safe). And there was also a time when I used a double space between each of my sentences (American standard) – and it still makes me laugh imagining the editors going over my entire article each week ...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 9 Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 9. We get started early with our FPL weekend with a Friday match up of West Ham’s Jose ‘2 point’ Hernandez vs that guy with the weird B or double ss, Groß from Brighton. Saturday then sees the struggling champions Chelsea facing off against the surprising Hornets. Five 3pm games follow that lunch time affair. Huddersfield host the ‘scared of Liverpool’ Manchester United, City go for 10 goals vs Burnley, Newcastle takes on Hodgson and all his memes, Stoke show their face vs Bournemouth and Swansea tangle with the Shakespeare-less Leicester. Sunday brings a conclusion to GW9 with Everton and their soon to be sacked Koeman versus the will never be sacked Wenger and hi...[Read More]
FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 9 Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 9. Not exactly a classic week for us the last one! 8 of our players scored 4 points or less. Our top scorer was Sterling, who was actually our transfer in last time, so at least we had some modicum of satisfaction in a job well done in that respect. That he scored almost a third of our points was either simply genius or a bad reflection on the other two thirds! Almost certainly the latter. That we left good old Tom Carroll and his 8 points on the bench, and that he would have been our 3rd top scorer had we not, was simply either dumb or a bad reflection on the other 8 players! Almost certainly the latter. Captain Kane bombed but obviously in a week when most players rued the same fate it di...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis and Player Tips Gameweek 9 Welcome to Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 9. This is a bit of a strange week we have in store; not only do we have to navigate around the CL schedule, we also have to plan ahead for a Friday kick-off between West Ham and Brighton (only the best matches for Fridays, eh?). And due to this double dose of awesomeness, we here at HQ have decided to combine a couple of our feature articles this week to make sure that we have enough time for you all to properly plot your teams accordingly. So with that in mind, this article will feature Fixtures (by me) and Tips (by Cookie) side by side. Or maybe ‘side by side’ isn’t the best way to put it, it’s more of a top/bottom kind of effect. So I’ll give my picks on the Fixtures, and ...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 9 2017/18 Welcome to Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 9. Earlier this year myself and my better half (I’m lucky to have her she tells me frequently) moved into our ‘forever’ home. I call it this as moving home is horrific so I’ll never be doing that again. Our ‘new’ home is over 100 years old and as such needs a lot of care and attention. Weekends are now a non-stop onslaught of DIY hell (with every possible sport media outlet playing in the background). Frequent trips to the local DIY store have replaced lounging in front of Sky Sports all weekend and my FPL team has suffered accordingly. Well that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it. Much like an old house your FPL team needs constant care and attention, neglect it for too long and before you...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 8 Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 8 and there’s no bigger match in English football to get us under way as Man Utd visit Liverpool. Five 3pm matches follow as Burnley host West Ham, pointless Palace welcome the posh boys of Chelsea, free scoring Man City host Stoke, Bournemouth are this week’s visitors to Wembley, as they try and stop the HurriKane, and the prize for the dullest game of the day goes to Swansea vs Huddersfield. Early evening sees the Gooners make the short trip to Watford. Two matches follow on Sunday – first up struggling Everton get a day by the seaside as they go to Brighton before Southampton welcome Newcastle further along the coast. The Premier League has decided to treat us a 3-day game-...[Read More]
FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 8 Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 8. A strange gameweek which feels like a lifetime ago. The average was 51, we smashed that with 63 and two our of our own contributed 2/3 of those points! Our Spurs duo of Captain Kane and Mr Reliable Davies did us proud and frankly shamed most of the others. Another clean sheet from DDG was complimented nicely by an assist from Choupo-Moting… the rest really should look away in shame. Even the Alonso owners have switched their phones off in fear that some will try and advocate selling him this week! Would they really though, with such a favourable run of games ahead? This turn in fixtures would have tested even their resolve, surely? But we do have a panel of extremes, from the flake...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 8 Welcome to Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 8. I’m sure you’ll all agree that the Tips article written by GP ahead of GW7 was nothing short of excellent, after all he included the legend that is Oumar Niasse. However, I must admit that I was a little jealous having read said article. Why? Well GP is in the process of moving house which is always exciting. He was off on his jollies to the principality of Monaco where he was to be wined & dined by royalty! Surely you were also jealous? Well I’m not jealous anymore. You mean you haven’t heard? Scottish people are genetically inferior to the rest of us. In other words, they’re short. So Gordon Strachan says so and who am I to question Gordon? So Scotland won’t be going to Russia and neither will the Dutch but...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 9 Welcome to Fantasy Football Top 20 Analysis. Kun? No Can Do! “… Kathmandu?” Ok! That took it a bit too far. But that’s just how funny I am. Really! Between having absolutely no sense of humour to trying to sound an iota as funny as those other legendary writers on this site, I just don’t know how to go about this. So bear with me guys. Be gentle with me (Yikes! Here I go again!). So, after what seems to be years and decades of freeloading on FF247’s advice, news, wall-street-level stats, suggestions, rate-my-teams and ‘funny-as-other-people’s-pain’ humour; I decided to crunch some numbers and finally give back. If by giving back, it means that the very cool admins accept this (future) Pulitzer piece. The fact that FF247 sent me a free t-shirt, with th...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 8 2017/18 Welcome to Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 8. The boring Premier League returns after another exhilarating feast of international football. We now have to wait until early-November for our next international break fix and instalment of thrilling matches; it’s a real shame to see world-class players being taken from their countries, purely for the sake of serving their mandatory club duties, ugh. Let’s distract ourselves from the impending mundane month by guessing which players will perform best for their irrelevant and depressing clubs. Harry Kane vs Bournemouth (H) This is the one name whose omission would cause major disapproval. Reflecting on the mesmerising international break above, it was Kane who shone for England, at least ...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 8 Welcome to Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 8. Bit of a different take this week and it’s driven by what I’ve seen so far this season in terms of FPL. We usually use this article to simply lay out which 3 or 4 teams have the best fixtures over the next few weeks. And which ones don’t. Which is grand, and usually works. There’s a trend going on that I’ve noticed though and it is that the top teams are hammering everyone else! Ok, so not every single time, but probably more often than not. So do you want me to come on here and tell you which of Bournemouth or Brighton have the better fixtures over the next 3 weeks? I could, but what’s the point? At this stage all eyes (and transfers) are on that ‘...[Read More]
