FPL Tips Gameweek 15

FPL Tips Gameweek 15 Ebenezer Smash sat hunched in his battered armchair, the last dying embers of his frugally made fire slowly died out, he shivered and pulled his dressing gown tighter around his slumped shoulders. In the distance, carol singers could be heard merrily singing a rendition of some Christmas carol that Smash did not recognise. “Bah humbug”, he muttered under his breath. A pad of paper sat on his lap; a few hastily scribbled notes sat underneath the title ‘Christmas FPL Tips’. He snorted a laugh: “Why would Init ask me to write tips?!” he wondered, not for the first time on this cold December night. In a past life, he had been an FPL manager of some note. Not anymore. His performances in recent seasons were best described as average, and this season ...[Read More]

FF247 FPL Team GW14

FF247 FPL Team GW14 Welcome to FF247 FPL Team GW14 Lattes all round Look up the word mediocre in a picture dictionary and you’ll find one of our team from GW13… at least there was none of the mayhem of recent game-weeks and we actually captained whom we said we would captain. You know things haven’t gone well when your defence is the star of the show! Up top, our forwards combined for a grand total of 9pts. Our midfield trio weighed in with a staggering 13pts, which included our captain KdB and new signing Jack Grealish. At the back, Coufal picked up a clean sheet and two baps, Targett a clean sheet, Chilwell an assist and a bap. Dann (who came off the bench for Mahrez) and McCarthy should just go play in midfield or up top. All this saw us score a whopping 46pts, four above the aver...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 13 Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 13. Here comes the festive period and the quick turnarounds. This gameweek gets rolling on Tuesday with two fixtures. The recently derailed Chelsea play a struggling Wolves side. That game is followed by Manchester City taking out their derby frustrations on poor ol’ West Brom. Wednesday grabs our attention a bit more with six games. Nicely divided up with three 6pm games and three 8pm games. The first three fixtures include Arsenal welcoming the surprising Saints, Leeds matching up versus Toon and Leicester tangling with Everton. The three late games sees Fulham play Brighton, Liverpool and Spurs battle it out in a clash for first and West Ham play host to Palace. Thursday brings an end...[Read More]

FF247 FPL Team GW13

FF247 FPL Team GW13 Welcome to FF247 FPL Team GW13 You may remember the rather tempestuous committee meeting pre GW12 where several transfer ideas were put forward and rejected, some democratically and some Trump-like (cries of ‘STOP THE COUNT’ echoed around FF247 HQ). With the meeting in disarray the decision was made to hold the transfer. And as it turns out it was the correct move as we scored 62pts, above the average of 51 and a well needed green arrow. None of our transfer options would have seen us score any higher. Our score was indebted to our strikers and defence. Put simply our midfield of KdB, Mahres, JWP and Jota didn’t turn up, Jota literally, so Bissouma came in and fitted in nicely with a 2 pointer. Captain Kane delivered once again and DCL was unlucky to just produce the so...[Read More]

Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW13

Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW13 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW13. With the quick turnaround, we’ll keep things short and sweet this week and dive straight into the winners! First place in last weeks predictions was a tie between Shinespark and Hammerfan who both netted 10pts. Whilst Shinespark guessed first goal scorer Klich, his prediction of the 49th minute was not as close as Hammerfan’s 12th-minute prediction, which was enough to seal the deal for him. Our very own master of mischief Mito grabbed the third spot with 9pts. Notable mentions to M.Salah, Mahelmy, Redmen, Treacle, Frenchie and Igy who all came close to the podium with 8pts. And so; Many Congratulations to Hammerfan. Please email us here; contact@fantasyfootball247.co.u...[Read More]

Saturday brings us 4 interesting fixtures. Wolves try to bounce back when they welcome in Villa, Toon play host to West Brom, the Manchester derby then takes flight as Bruno tries to go at it alone versus the vaunted City attack. Saturday comes to an end when the struggling Everton takes on high scoring Chelsea. Sunday brings an end to the gameweek with 5 meh fixtures. Saints play Sheffield Utd, Zaha battles Kane and Son and Fulham bend over for Liverpool in the first three games. The last two fixtures are played simultaneously (thankfully) when 15th placed :mosking: Arsenal take on Burnley and it com...[Read More]

FF247 FPL Team GW12

FF247 FPL Team GW12 Welcome to FF247 FPL Team Gameweek 12 Gotta captain KDB, right? And I quote… “Captain – KdB Less confusion about this one, in fact none. We would imagine that most people who own him will come to the same conclusion” – FPL Site Team article GW11 We captained Vardy accidently – in fact, no one noticed until our h2h opponent let us know on site that our team captain was different from the published article. Initial bursts of laughter gave way to headshakes, a little aroused suspicion flitted through the offices that we may have a rogue member within and then finally the acceptance and a dawning that we may have accidently struck gold here if KdB blanks. Perhaps this is the accidental kick-start our limping season needs? Still, like a pack of ravenous wolves, w...[Read More]

FPL Captain Picks Gameweek 12

FPL Captain Picks Gameweek 12 Welcome to FPL Captain Picks Gameweek 12. Whisper it quietly but some semblance of reality may be emerging. Both in normal life and also in FPL. If we had told you last week that KDB would be our best pick, Vardy wouldn’t be far behind, Bruno would put in a MOTM performance and JWP would get an assist, then you’d probably have said that sounds about right, in normal times. That it came to pass possibly tells us that things are settling down a tad. As is now usual, let’s see how our panel in GW11 fared, pretty much as above in fairness: Rosco — KDB, 28 (captain powered) points. No surprise here as he got a goal and his obligatory assist to aid 3 BPs for a bit of a haul. Init — Vardy, 16 points. A late, late goal and with it 3 BPs salvaged him,...[Read More]

FPL Tips Gameweek 12

FPL Tips Gameweek 12 Welcome to FPL Tips Gameweek 12 Now we’re into the festive season – it’s official now, the Christmas tree and various other decorations have been put up, though the cat is doing his best to pull them down – the fixtures start to come thick and fast. So, I’m already dishing out advice as soon as the first paragraph: there will be rotation, bear that in mind with both your starting XI and a playing bench to pick up any pieces. As we have the added Grinch of Covid-19 still lingering on, there’s also the spectre of games like the Villa versus Newcastle game being called off as the players and staff test positive. Anyway, presuming we have all 10 of the merry fixtures of Gameweek 11, I’ll dispense my advice from my very own meandering experience – previous article reference...[Read More]

Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW12

Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW12 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW12. Crystal Palace’s 1-5 win away to West Brom was the only match to break too far away from the expected norm. We had the usual smattering of 2-1’s (although both technically 1-2’s), just three clean sheets (the usual suspects in City, Liverpool and Spurs) and just a solitary draw (Burnley v Everton). So, how did this week’s predictions go? Matt tells me that it was a battle to the death (or words to that effect) between Jamie Mc, Gear, Pjlill, Mosc, MBD, and Ivan who all scored 12pts. No one correctly predicted this week’s FGS (understandable as it was Robbie Brady) However MDB did correctly predict that it would come in the 3rd minute and takes top-spot...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 11

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 11 Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 11. Friday gets the action started with one fixture when Villa play host to whatever Covid-free players Newcastle can spare. One can only assume that the game was played by itself so it wouldn’t infect any of the other fixtures. Oh well, scrap that… We begin with Saturday bringing us four responsible fixtures. Burnley welcomes in the struggling Toffees, City continues their scoring revenge tour when they likely pulverise Fulham. The Hammers look to stop Bruno, just Bruno really. Then in the final match up of the day we see Chelsea tangle with Leeds. Sunday gives four more encounters. It kicks off with a West Brom and Palace snoozer. That is followed by last place Sheffield Utd who ...[Read More]
