FF247 FPL Team GW26 Welcome to FF247 FPL Team GW26 A Wildcard Waltz and a Bench Boost Beckoning Anyway, part one of the plan worked! We wildcarded last week and scored 82 points – a very respectable 32 points above the weekly average and a climb to 616,720 overall. The reason we wildcarded was so that we were in a position to absolutely hammer the upcoming DGW26 with as many players with two games as possible. We go with 14 of the 15 which we’re delighted with but more on that later. The Premier League confirmed the DGW26 fixtures ONE MINUTE PAST THE GW25 deadline (yeah great, thanks etc / insert own expletive) – effectively meaning that you couldn’t technically guarantee a Wildcard/Bench Boost combo across these two weeks would work. Yeah we took a bit of a risk but ‘fortune favours’ and ...[Read More]
FPL Captain Picks Gameweek 26 Welcome to FPL Captain Picks Gameweek 26 Last week we had a bit of a DGW taster, the hors d’oeuvres to this week’s full on banquet, if you will. A dress rehersal. A practice run. You get the picture. Only it was also for real, just that the choices were much more limited, and perhaps less extravagant in their offering. As it went, three quarters of our panel went for a doubler, one without. Could it prove to be a lesson, or at least a pointer to the importance of filling up on DGW players this week? Let’s go see how they fared… = 1. Swirly – Bruno, 24 points. Our only SGW captainer claimed joint top spot with 24 points, we have put him top of the pile as he did it in one whole game less. The reality is that he was overall more pro...[Read More]
Five Players That Could Win You Your Fantasy Football League The Premier League season is reaching its climax and while the title race is seemingly over, there are still thousands of FPL contests that are set to go down to the wire in both the standard and the draft format. By now, we all know the star players that are likely to continue to lead the way, but a £4.5m addition or a waiver wire pickup could be the difference between having all the bragging rights over your fellow managers or having to settle for an agonising second-place finish in your private league. Curtis Jones – £4.4m / TSB 0.8% There have been very few positives for Liverpool to take from this campaign, but they can be encouraged by the emergence of Curtis Jones who has cemented himself as a regular in the Reds’ mi...[Read More]
Premier League teams concerned about Fantasy Football Leaks The biggest story of the week wasn’t Bale’s revival, or two wonder goals in Champions League and Europa League, but Fantasy Football frenzy, caused by one Aston Villa fan from Norway. A guy named Henning, 32-years-old, made a bot, that scanned insider accounts for changes. Moreover, it tracked players and staff teams, which resulted in real injury news leak. It all started before the game on sunday, when Jack Grealish injury was revealed because James Tomkins and Aston Villa fitness coach changed him in their fantasy teams, and Hennig bot reported that on Twitter. Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish is one of the biggest performers this year and was praised by many editors, including the ones on bookmaker-ratings.com. But they also doubte...[Read More]
FPL Tips Gameweek 26 Welcome to FPL Tips Gameweek 26 It’s double GW season and this is the biggest one of all. There will be hits galore everywhere, as well as chips being played right, left and centre. This is where the fun really happens, it’s where you can catch the leaders in your mini leagues and make big gains on your overall rank. If you had Dallas or Barnes in GW25 then congratulations, you probably had a great week. If not it’s time to shake it off and get your head in the game ready to go again! Goalkeepers Martinez (now 5.3m) is the stand out pick for a keeper. He has a double GW this week against Leeds and Sheffield United, he has another double on the horizon and he even plays in GW29: the big blank. Martinez is the highest scoring goalie in the game with 130 points and the la...[Read More]
FPL Fixtures Gameweek GW26 We’re now entering what is generally known as the business end of the season. The time for plans to be executed, Chips to be utilised, chances to be taken and if all goes well the time for big leaps in the rankings. Or if you’re like me, plans to be made, said plans to be ignored and Chips wasted! With all this in mind and following the announcement of the majority of rescheduled fixtures, allow me to try and navigate you through the next four game-weeks (and in some cases beyond). These next four game-weeks are a real mixed bag – we start with the season’s biggest double game-week and end in GW29 with just four fixtures. And just to add spice to those quirky weeks we have a tiny DGW in 27 and a possible DGW in 28 for Villa and Everton. With so many teams doublin...[Read More]

Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW24 & 25 Welcome to Harry and Lloyd’s Fantasy Predictions GW24 & 25. Another large H&L article has finally come to an end with the conclusion of GW20 and thus we have four more winners. Following on from winning in GW19, former H&L contributor DMC made it two on the trot by also winning GW20. DMC finished top of the pile on 11 pts. Although the poor lad is still in a legal dispute with FPL Towers over his t-shirt (long story, don’t ask!). He was pushed all the way by OddDane, Bejo, Otieno and MDB who all scored a brilliant 10 points. Only two people guessed that Zaha would be the first goal scorer and they were Bejo and Sherlock. Each week finished with very close scores and that was the same for GW21 as Tekno won on 12...[Read More]
Which FPL Players Offer The Best Value? Part of the fun of playing fantasy football is that you have to get creative with your selections. Just like real-world football managers, you’ve got a budget, and you need to stick to it. While we’ll all splash out on those big-money names, the truth is that it’s very often the value members of our squads that deliver the points needed to drive us up the fantasy football league table. You might have Salah in your team, but so does everyone else; the slightly cheaper players provide a chance to diversify your squad. But which slightly cheaper players offer the best value? We’ll take a look at just a few players that might be worth adding to your team. Harvey Barnes People in the know have talked about Harvey Barnes’ potential for a while, but it seem...[Read More]
FF247 FPL Team GW25 Welcome to FF247 FPL Team GW25 Room 101 You know the concept, you put in the things that annoy you the most; like playing FPL and trying to pick with sound logical reason the Manchester City players who are going to play the most amount of minutes in a double gameweek. And Pep gets you! Across a total potential 180 minutes against Spurs and Everton, our Ruben Dias scored 2 points and was our joint-lowest scoring player. Still, nice to own and captain Ilkay FUNdogan for his 38 points (in just 90 minutes by the way) but as with everyone else, you rarely hear about the things that do go your way and as ever, we’re a greedy lot us FPL managers. So with Gundogan’s 38 and a combined 27 from Pope and Lowton (lads!), we pushed our score to 101 (see what we did there?) and we ha...[Read More]
FPL Captain Picks Gameweek 25 Welcome to FPL Captain Picks Gameweek 25 The finest of margins – that’s what FPL is in so many ways. At the time of writing, the likes of Sterling, Fernandes and Salah have five, nine and seven points respectively – then there’s Gundogan who has almost the total of the three players’ gains combined, with 19 points. Those who not only had him in their team, but also followed our man Init’s tip of captaining him, congratulations! As for the fortunate few who even triple captained him, even better! Regardless of whether he plays his second fixture, that is a tally to be pleased with. Indeed, being pleased when your points tally is great is key to this game. In these times where we look for escapism from the general naffness of ...[Read More]
How the FA Cup is shaping up after the fifth round We’re now down to the last eight teams remaining in the FA Cup, after an unusual midweek fifth round took place, with action spread across Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. There were no huge shocks, with Bournemouth the last non-Premier League team remaining after they knocked out Burnley, while Everton and Tottenham Hotspur served up the greatest entertainment of the round, with the Toffees emerging 5-4 winners after extra time. The quarter-final draw has been made, and there are a few tasty ties to look forward to. The matches are set to take place over the weekend of March 20th and 21st, so teams have plenty of time to build some momentum in the league before battling it out for a place in the semi-finals at Wembley. Let’s take an in-de...[Read More]
