Live Match Chat Gameweek 32 FPL News Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 32 FPL News: It’s weeks like this that separate the ‘casuals’ from the serious players as we begin our 3rd gameweek in seven days. Remembering the deadline is one thing, being properly prepared and planned with such a short turnaround is another. Hopefully you were but either way it’s probably too late now! Gameweek 32 begins with Spurs looking to put an early marker down and place subsequent pressure on Chelsea as they take on Watford at home. We then have five 3pm kick offs, the highlight from an FPL point of view being Kun facing Hull at home. That’s probably it to be fair looking at those sorry fixtures! Well ok, you could make an argument for having West Brom defenders or maybe some ...[Read More]
Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 32 Like many, our GW31 was rescued late by Christian Eriksen and Josh King – the Viking came up with a goal and assist at Swansea while King cheered ‘most’ of the committee by equalising at Anfield. Of course King only appeared for us due to Llorent’s no-show, so happy days! Eden Hazard contributed 13pts also and those three were the only significant contributors. Captain Fail Sanchez at least tried to justify our faith by adding a clean sheet point but it was a pretty embarrassing display by the remaining eight numpties. We scored just above average – 50pts vs an average of 45 and saw a small red arrow. Not nice. We dropped about 1.5k places to 36,034. So hardly a disaster. It seems that win, lose or draw though we are ...[Read More]
Around the Grounds FPL Team News Gameweek 32 Welcome to Around the Grounds FPL Team News Gameweek 32. Thick and fast, just as we like them. Anyway enough about a night in Essex, we have another game-week to negotiate. Points galore are in store ladies and gentlemen, we truly are in the business end of the season. This weekend is a slightly more sedate affair than the midweek fun – GW32 lasts three days and starts at the Lane where Spurs host Watford. Five 3pm matches follow – Man City will be a FPL favourite this week as they welcome Hull, Boro and Burnley bore us to sleep, Liverpool go to Stoke, West Brom entertain Southampton and West Ham and Swansea face off in the capital. The evening sees Chelsea’s trip to Bournemouth. Sunday starts with another bore-fest as Man Unit...[Read More]
Fantasy Premier League Captain Picks Gameweek 32 Welcome to Fantasy Premier League Captain Picks Gameweek 32. After an international break, the FA decided to give us three GWs over nine days – there is non-stop action going on here folks as the next round kicks off at Saturday noon when Spurs welcome Watford to White Hart Lane. All the big teams face weaker opposition this round, meaning that there are several players to consider for the armband. Manchester City, Everton, and Tottenham all play at home, while Chelsea have to take the trip to Bournemouth, and Arsenal face Palace in a London derby. Manchester United face Sunderland, but their recent shyness in front of goal and lack of fantasy options exclude any United players from being among the options in this article. I assume most Zlat...[Read More]
MLS GW6 Tips Fantasy Major League Soccer Welcome to MLS GW6 Tips Fantasy Major League Soccer.THIS WEEKS DEADLINE IS 3:30am UK TIME (Saturday early, early, really early morning, basically!) Before this round has even kicked off, we’ve already had a heaping dose of MLS-y business going on in the world. First off, the people of St. Louis have rejected a bid to fund a stadium for a new MLS franchise in their city, and that’s kind of a big deal. In a sports league that doesn’t have promotion nor relegation, entering the league is usually as simple as giving the league as much money as one can muster, and giving the promise of a free stadium. But the people of St. Louis decided they didn’t want to give the league any money so that one day they could try to buy their own aging European superstar,...[Read More]
Live Match Chat Gameweek 31 FPL News Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 31 FPL News: Time to get excited folks. Come on now, who doesn’t love a midweek FPL game-week?! 10 games, 2 days, bish bash bosh. No messing about. No waiting for Friday’s early KO (yep, remember them? They’re coming back to a screen near you soon…) and then having it all drag on until Monday evening. Midweek FPL gets the job done like Joe Pesci in a bar room. We start with 4 games games on Tuesday with the main FPL highlights probably being Heaton attempting to single-handedly thwart Stoke, Vardy attempting to Party against Sunderland, Watford wondering how to stop McAuley and Ibra finally being unleashed once more. Wednesday brings a quick conclusion with the Wenger banners being readied, ...[Read More]
Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 31 Cutting straight to the chase this week, as time is of the essence, we scored 50 points in GW30 which was 10 above the average and it saw us register yet another green arrow, which is now 10 of those in the last 13 weeks. It’s ‘slowly, slowly catchy monkey’ though it seems as we’ve only actually risen by 30,000 places in all that time! This week we jumped up 5k to 34,416 overall. We aren’t complaining of course, it all just feels a bit laborious! A bit like our team itself this week actually as there was nothing to get excited about individually, it was more of a collective effort with just the odd goal or assist, here or there. Valencia and Nyom shared a 0-0 which suited our clean sheet bank, Captain Hazard grabbed a...[Read More]
Fantasy Premier League Captain Picks Gameweek 31 Welcome to Fantasy Premier League Captain Picks Gameweek 31. Ah this is more like it. No sooner has one GW finished then another is immediately upon us. If GW30 treated you well then you only have a day or two of gloating in your office, or home or supermarket, or wherever you normally do this! If it didn’t go quite as planned, let’s say for arguments sake if you inexplicably captained a left back or something, then fear not as you only have a day or two to hide also. If we tell you nothing else of importance this week then this is the key message to remember – The GW31 Deadline is on Tuesday evening (4th April) at 6.45pm UK time. But that’s just between us though, yeah? You know the rules with midweek games – d...[Read More]
Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 30 It seems like an age ago, but it’s time to quickly reflect on the performance of the FF247 team in GW29 before moving onto our transfer plans for GW30. If you remember we took a hit last week due to Eden Hazard’s injury and it worked out ok as our new recruit Josh King weighed in with a late assist in Bournemouth’s win over Swansea – the fact he was awarded 2bps made it all the more sweeter. The week turned out well – we scored 76pts, net 72 after the hit compared to the average of 47, which resulted in another green arrow – we now stand at 39,396. Like many teams, the highlight was Captain Romelu, who like King, left it late but delivered an assist and then two injury time goals for a 16pt haul, doubled to 32. ...[Read More]
MLS GW5 Tips Fantasy Major League Soccer THIS WEEKS DEADLINE IS SATURDAY 1st APRIL AT 00:30AM UK TIME (Friday night, basically!) Imagine this: you’re sitting at your job, and you start to feel a bit overwhelmed. Maybe you start to think that this whole theory of “fake it ‘til you make it” might not work out. You try to put on a brave face, but there’s always a part of you that feels a bit underqualified to be doing what they pay you to do. After all, the ultimate consequence for being found out as a bit of a fraud is that your employer will fire you and you’ll have to tell the wife and kids that ramen and canned tuna fish are going to on the menu for a while. Now you have two options here: you either a) continue to stick it out and hope for the best, or you b) apply to be a scheduler in th...[Read More]
Live Match Chat Gameweek 30 FPL News Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 30 FPL News: Anyone else bored of these international breaks just when the season is hotting up to it’s conclusion? Don’t worry, it was rhetorical, and anyway we’d assume a massive majority in favour of the answer “Yes!”. It’s full throttle ahead from here until the end though, and it should be fun as we have double game-weeks coming at us left right and centre. DGW34 was announced last week, although that one looks a bit damp given the teams involved. DGW37 should be a bonanza though with plenty to choose from. There will also be another mini DGW in either 35 or 36. This week is your standard fair with 10 games square and we begin with a Merseyside derby at lunchtime on Saturday. T...[Read More]
Fantasy Premier League Tips Gameweek 30 Welcome to Fantasy Premier League Tips Gameweek 30. With the announcement of the majority of the upcoming DGW’s we are going to split this weeks Tips article into two sections. We will look at DGW34 a bit, as that one is nearest, and assess which teams and players involved in that one may be worth planning ahead for now in terms of bringing them in gradually over the next few weeks. We will then go on to look at this week specifically and who we would be looking at for GW30. It’ll be a juggling act over the coming games trying to accommodate both aspects so we may as well begin at the earliest opportunity and you can at least start to practice how to marry the two things up into a coherent fantasy team for the weeks ahead. DGW34 Let’...[Read More]
