Well it’s not really as there’s only 4 games at 3pm. First up is 3 points for Bournemouth as they welcome the hapless David Moyes and his bunch of not so merry men from Sunderland. Crystal Palace travel to face Tom Heaton Burnley. Having beaten Barcelona on Tuesday night City will be confident of taking 3 points as they host Middlesbrough. FPL Fixtures Analysis Gameweek 11 2016-17

FPL Fixtures Analysis Gameweek11 2016-17 Welcome to FPL Fixtures Analysis Gameweek 11 2016-17. I think we can all agree that this last week went a little more according to the script that we all had in our heads when this season started. Arsenal, Liverpool, and Man City all getting 4 goals in easy wins? Check. Eden Hazard attacking the ball and looking like a true superstar? Check. Jose Mourinho completely making a mess of things? Check. After the crazy season last year, it’s almost nice, comforting even, to be back in a predictable cycle within the Premier League. Sure, we’ll still root for that underdog team to make a bid for Top 4, and we’ll still root for a surprise promotion team to surpass expectations in their first year up; but when it comes to fantasy purposes, we have no qualms w...[Read More]

Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 11 Welcome to the Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 11 article. If we said that six of our team all scored 3 points or less this week then you’d maybe expect that this would then lead onto a story of sorrow and despair. It just goes to show what having a minority of decent performers can actually produce though as we managed a fairly respectable 79 with a load of hallowed green arrows in all the right places. Cech, Walker, Pieters, Sterling, Capoue and Deeney are the players doing the walk of shame. Holebas, Firmino, Sanchez, Aguero and Lukaku can all hold their heads high, if they can shoulder the weight of our team. They carried us through to a small rise in the rankings from 57k to 39k. It’s not ground breaking but at this stage ...[Read More]

Fantasy Premier League Tips Gameweek 11

Fantasy Premier League Tips Gameweek 11 Welcome to Fantasy Premier League Tips Gameweek 11.This time of year is one of change here in the UK – the temperatures start to fall and the nights draw in. We celebrate Halloween, Diwali and Bonfire Night and then we look to our fantasy football teams and wonder if, they too, need to go through a change. Talking of Halloween, it’s fair to say it was a bit of a horror show if you didn’t captain the likes of Sanchez, Aguero or even Lukaku. A section of managers I unfortunately was in. I went for Troy Deeney and, well, after a few beers on a Saturday night, he and Capoue are no longer in Swirly FC for a very rare four-point hit. Not that I condone drunken fantasy football tactics / transfer rage or even four-point hits, of course. I hope, at least, th...[Read More]

Fantasy Premier League Captain Picks Gameweek 11

Fantasy Premier League Captain Picks Gameweek 11 Welcome to Fantasy Premier League Captain Picks Gameweek 11. Lists. They’re all over the internet. The problem is that most of them start with a few banal ‘under the radar’ choices that no-one cares about, ultimately ascending to a stonkingly obvious no.1; to wit, “Top 10 Hated Star Wars Characters”; “2001’s Most Shocking Incidents”; and “The Best 5 Football Management Simulators for your PC.” Discussing the lists’ also-rans is rarely little more than a thinly veiled ego-stroking exercise for the compiler to constipate the reader with unnecessary information in an overly verbose and periphrastic manner. If you’re reading this, then perhaps you like lists; or maybe you...[Read More]

Live Match Chat Gameweek 10 FPL News Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 10 FPL News: And we are off!! Game-week 10 gets us going with a foregone conclusion, as Arsenal will grab the 3 points when they travel to the Stadium of light Darkness. That “one team rolling over and playing dead” fixture is followed by six more. United look to bore Burnley off the pitch, Boro and Bournemouth tangle in another battle of low expectations. In other action, the best defence (Spurs) faces Leicester, who can’t defend, so much so that even United scored on them…4 times. Watford and Hull duel in a battle of fugly kits, The Baggies face first place City at the Hawthorns and Palace finish the day off with a match up against the “WE ARE GOING TO WIN THE LEAGUE” Liverpool. Fantasy Premier League Tips Gameweek 10

Fantasy Premier League Tips Gameweek 10 Welcome to Fantasy Premier League Tips Gameweek 10. Oh dear! Another one of those weeks. The masses log in to see how their expensively assembled array of fantasy superstars have fared, only to see an array of red arrows and a whole lot of not much in terms of points next to the names of their chosen ones. Time to reassess or time to be stubborn and dig down? Possibly a bit of both. Frustrating though isn’t it?! You’ve done the due diligence and checked the form and fixtures of everyone involved and have landed on a grand plan. Now you just need the pieces to fall into place. But sometimes they don’t, for whatever reason. We had this at the beginning of last season too and it resulted in a good many fantasy managers tearing their ha...[Read More]

Fantasy Premier League Captain Picks Gameweek 10

Fantasy Premier League Captain Picks Gameweek 10 Welcome to Fantasy Premier League Captain Picks Gameweek 10. Considering the fact that we are already 9 weeks into the season now is probably the time when we start to take our captain picks even more serious than before! Those of us who have struggled throughout the opening game-weeks are sticking to the excuse that to date we haven’t taken things seriously. How difficult it is to get our capo right? Let’s just take a quick look at the highest three scorers in each of the past 3 game-weeks. GW9 – Shaqiri 15pts – Cahill 14pts – Reid 14pts GW8 – Stanislas 21pts – Allen 16pts – Holebas 15pts GW7 – Koscielny 15pts – Firmino 12pts – Costa 12pts So as you can see it’s not that easy to forecast...[Read More]

FPL Fixtures Analysis Gameweek10 2016-17

FPL Fixtures Analysis Gameweek10 2016-17 Welcome to FPL Fixtures Analysis Gameweek 10 2016-17. I went back and reread my previous week’s Fixtures article this morning. It’s usually something I do with a bit of trepidation, because once those picks are locked in, there’s really no turning back. Once the article is published, I’m either going to be right or wrong on those picks, and I just have to live with the shame if I really messed up. I’m usually OK with a single missed pick – after all, not everything is supposed to turn out 100% correct (if it did, I’d be a millionaire sports bettor right now). And I have to say, looking at the picks last week, even knowing how those matches played out, I’m not sure I could honestly say that I wouldn’t make the same picks again if I had to do it...[Read More]

Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 10

Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 10 Welcome to the Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 10 article. GW9 was one of the dullest game-weeks in history – it was a game-week dominated in the main by clean sheets for a change and we were fortunate enough to gain a clean sweep of them, courtesy of Cech, Walker, Holebas and Pieters. The only other contributions to our score were assists for Firmino and Lukaku and yet we scored 48pts, 6pts above the average of 42 and saw us climb to a ranking of 57,577. Exciting stuff. Another captain failure for Alexis was slightly compensated by Kun scoring just a solitary point on Sunday, so things could have been worse. All in all, we probably dodged a bullet given our defensive performance. Transfer: Rasford to Deeney We contemplated a whole r...[Read More]

Live Match Chat Gameweek 9 FPL News Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 9 FPL News: Bournemouth hosting Spurs gets the game-week going for us, one would expect The Cherries to be done scoring for the season after dropping six on Hull last week That lunch time fixture is followed by six more at 3pm. The Gunners collect 3 points vs Boro, Burnley looks to pad Heaton’s save stats when they face Everton, Hull continues to pretend to be an EPL team when they face Stoke. In other action we see the EPL uncaring Foxes vs Palace, relegation bound Swansea bend over for Watford and West Ham continue climbing the table when they face Sunderland. In Saturday’s closing fixture, Liverpool will tangle with a more offensively inclined side in West Brom than the United side they played last GW. S...[Read More]

Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 9

Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 9 Welcome to the Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 9 article. One Jose Holebas, there’s only one Jose Holebas, one Jose Holebas! We’ll come back to our favourite Greek in a moment. With the average score for GW8 being 39pts it’s safe to suggest that we weren’t the only ones to have a shocker. We ended up with 45pts which resulted in a red arrow dropping us to 66,878 in the rankings. To be honest it could have been worse. Our captain, a certain Sergio Aguero finished the gameweek on a minus score thanks to his penalty miss. We’re pretty sure that’s the first time our captain has contributed a negative score. So back to Holebas. Thanks to a goal, a clean sheet and three baps he finished with 15pts which was a massive 33% of our total. Elsewhere o...[Read More]
