Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 24 Welcome to the Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 24 article. Hmmmmmm. That probably sums everybody’s reaction when they looked at their score this week. We scored 36 for the record. Now usually when you log on and see 36 you expect to have plummeted some 10k places if not more. But to further sum the week up and put it bang in perspective we rose in the rankings. By 9 places! We now sit at 31,899 in the overall rankings. So good was the past week that our entire team managed two assists and one clean sheet between them. Walker got the clean sheet, Coleman and our captain Sanchez got the assists. Wow, what an exciting week! A story echoed everywhere, evidently. Anyway let’s put that one behind us all and hope some of the big guns ...[Read More]

Around the Grounds FPL Team News Gameweek 24

Around the Grounds FPL Team News Gameweek 24 Welcome to Around the Grounds FPL Team News Gameweek 24. In the words of the Pet Shop Boys, what have I done to deserve this?! Yep, another game-week begins just over 48 hours after the last one ended. But c’mon we love it really, two game-weeks in just a few days is one of the highlights of the season – well, it is when you’ve had the sort of season I’ve had! Last week was certainly a shocker for most, and full of surprises – Man City were the only winners in the top six, while Leicester were the only losers in the bottom six. Even Liverpool didn’t lose. We move on and what a match to kick off with as mentally unstable Arsenal go west to take on high flying Chelsea at the Bridge Saturday lunchtime. Six 3pm ma...[Read More]

FPL Fixtures Analysis Gameweek 23

FPL Fixtures Analysis Gameweek 23 Welcome to FPL Fixtures Analysis Gameweek 23. Well that last round certainly was…something. I mean, I guess we shouldn’t be surprised. Of course Ibrahimovic was going to slow down at some point. And of course Tottenham were going to concede a goal or two eventually. I guess the only real certainty was that Chelsea were going to win with a shutout and Aguero was going to blank again (LOL’s to the 20% of you wasting nearly 13m still hoping for a miracle). But all in all, it was a week that went pretty much according to script. Arsenal and Chelsea both got wins. Sunderland and Leicester looked like complete messes, and owning some WBA coverage paid off big. Really, unless you put down your rent money on Liverpool to win (and I’m sure somebody out there ...[Read More]

Fantasy Premier League Captain Picks Gameweek 23

Fantasy Premier League Captain Picks Gameweek 23 Welcome to Fantasy Premier League Captain Picks Gameweek 23. And it’s another ‘face-off’ special. We were shocked to discover that the last one was way back in GW13, how time flies. If you are unfamiliar with the concept then we simply ask Init and Mito to take turns picking their Captains for the week and then to make a case for each. If it was a weekly feature we’d have a running league table and all sorts but in all honesty it’s just a bit of fun and basically a vehicle for presenting the usual picks for the week, but dressed up a bit differently. That said we do have the results from the last one, albeit 10 weeks later! It’s a bit like a Potty Christmas competition only more organised and timely. Last ...[Read More]

Fantasy Premier League Tips Gameweek 23

Fantasy Premier League Tips Gameweek 23 Part One Welcome to Fantasy Premier League Tips Gameweek 23. Ah, Back to the Future – what a series of films. We may not have hover boards (well, not real ones anyway – any with wheels don’t count), but other aspects have come to fruition like video calling and voice control and then there’s the question asked in disbelief: “Then tell me, future boy, who’s the President of the United States?”. I won’t go further there. Of course, if we had our own time machine (I’m still happy with a DeLorean!), we could go back to 11:00am UK time on 21st January and change around our teams to get the best possible scores, not to mention the betting possibilities with an accumulator including Swansea winning 3-2 at Liverpool! Andy Carroll could even have been m...[Read More]

Around the Grounds FPL Team News Gameweek 23

Around the Grounds FPL Team News Gameweek 23 Welcome to Around the Grounds FPL Team News Gameweek 23. Here we are for some midweek fun, a chance to plan and then post a large game-week total before we go again on Saturday. GW23 sees seven matches this evening and the remaining three tomorrow. The all important deadline for this week is 18.45 tonight, so do not be caught out but also hope that some of your mini-league rivals are not as well informed! Tonight sees Watford hoping not be pushed arouynd by Arsene and his Gooners, Palace try and start their survival mission at Bournemouth, Tom Heaton this week attempts his one-man defence at home to Champs turned Chumps Leicester, the Baggies must have really upset someone for they have to go to Boro on a cold Tuesday night in January, Sunderlan...[Read More]

Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 23

Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 23 Welcome to the Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 23 article. After a run of four successive green arrows, GW23 bucked the trend as we went Code Red with a score of 48pts, 2 better than the average but not enough to help our rank which fell to 31,908 from 24,291. Still, not a shocker by any stretch of the imagination. It was Alexis who rescued our game-week as his injury-time penalty secured him 16pts – of course we were lucky in that Giroud and Ozil were off the pitch, hence Alexis taking the penalty. The only other contributions of note were an assist and 2bpts for Kyle Walker, a clean sheet for the still alive Allan-Romeo Nyom and an assist for Erik Pieters. All the rest took the week off, so fully rested we are expecting great thing...[Read More]

FPL Ramblings

FPL Ramblings Welcome to FPL Ramblings: Here we go again, another game-week and another ramble. Don’t worry though this is unlikely to become a weekly edition, as I am unreliable as heck. There were a couple of things that struck me this GW, probably none that are relevant to what you care about. I noticed that Lloris is not very coordinated when it comes to heading. That Sterling does run like Velma (Scooby-doo character) as someone pointed out on twitter. Liverpool mids take turns trolling us, that Alexis was obviously going down the middle Panenka style. That KdB is interesting, considering their fixtures and Jesus is worth getting excited about until you reach the FPL site. Oh and Costa…sorry, the words I have for him would get edited out, so I won’t bother. That edit...[Read More]

Live Match Chat Gameweek 22 FPL News

Live Match Chat Gameweek 22 FPL News Welcome to Live Match Chat Gameweek 22 FPL News: After a somewhat bumper GW21 in terms of FPL points we can only hope GW22 took notice and follows suit! Liverpool should get that particular ball rolling as they begin the week for us at home to bottom club Swansea. The Reds are the top scorers in the league with 49 goals. Swansea have conceded the most with (ironically) 49 against. We then have five 3pm games before a Saturday evening cracker as Spurs look to test their title challenging form against a somewhat beleaguered Man City. Sunday begins with the Saints hosting Leicester in the early one before Tom Heaton goes to Arsenal in pursuit of yet more save points. Our GW finishes probably how it began with the only real question being ‘can Chelsea...[Read More]

Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 22

Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 22 Welcome to the Fantasy Football 247 Site Team Gameweek 22 article. After 2 weeks of relying on Phillips and Defoe boosting us up the rankings we are pleased to report that the other 9 finally woke up too this week! Well ok, 7 of them did, but we’ll take it. We ended up on a fairly respectable 80 points which meant another small climb in the rankings and we now sit at 24,291. Cech and Holebas brought us clean sheets whilst Walker brought us that and more. Erik came home with his usual array of assists and all 3 of our forwards scored. Captain Sanchez was looking decidedly dodgy until a late goal suddenly transformed his score from a lacklustre 6 to a splendid 22. Fine margins. We should point out that we said last week that we were saving our...[Read More]

Fantasy Premier League Tips Gameweek 22

Fantasy Premier League Tips Gameweek 22 Welcome to Fantasy Premier League Tips Gameweek 22. Firstly, looking back at last week’s Tips I would like to pay tribute to Mr Inittowinit who brought us his ‘Transfers In’ led article which was rather annoyingly, an entirely original and simple idea delivered expertly. Pity Diego Costa was in it but we can hardly blame Init for that much as we may like to. So I decided to focus on a few differentials in this week’s Tips and I imposed a ‘sub-10% ownership’ model and my selections, which I’ve listed in no other order than playing position and then descending ownership percentage, can all (except two) be considered differentials which might help you pull yourself away from the quagmire of your congested mini-leagues. Mito’s excellent intro or ‘pre-ram...[Read More]

Fantasy Premier League Captain Picks Gameweek 22

Fantasy Premier League Captain Picks Gameweek 22 Welcome to Fantasy Premier League Captain Picks Gameweek 22. 2017 is already shaping up to be the year of the incredible sulk. While Diego Costa has one eye on a slow boat to China, Dmitri Payet would seem content just to leave E13. Or E20. Or wherever the heck it is that the Hammers call home now. Even Alexis Sanchez threw a strop when his manager had the audacity to relieve him of duty 4-0 up at the Welsh branch of Managers-R-Us. So which players should you trust with your captaincy, and which should you cast aside, risking mutiny? That’s clearly none of my business. But here are 5 players worth considering: 5.
