New FPL Transfers Everton Jordan Pickford and Michael Keane

New FPL Transfers Everton Jordan Pickford and Michael Keane Hello and welcome to New FPL Transfers Everton Jordan Pickford and Michael Keane. Having covered Everton’s attacking transfers in the previous article we now make our way back to the defence and look at new keeper Jordan Pickford and central defender Michael Keane. Both are young (Pickfrd is 23, Keane 24) and Koeman will hope that both will serve the club for seasons to come – well, at least until the manager has hopped off to Barcelona anyway. It’s the trendy thing to say, but I make no apologies for repeating myself – ignore Everton until GW6 (unless you fancy a GW1 punt home to Burnley) – GW2-GW6 fixtures read Man City (a), Chelsea (a), Spurs (h), Man Utd (a). It’s ugly folks, but it changes ...[Read More]

New FPL Transfers Everton Wayne Rooney, Sandro Ramírez and Davy Klaassen

New FPL Transfers Everton Wayne Rooney, Sandro Ramírez and Davy Klaassen Hello and welcome to New FPL Transfers Everton Wayne Rooney, Sandro Ramírez and Davy Klaassen. This has been an unusual window for Everton – usually they are frustrated spectators as their rivals spend away and buy a whole range of talent before the Toffees fudge around on deadline day, sneak in a deal or two – or if they’re really lucky, cash in on Marouane Fellaini at the 11th hour. This season they have dealt big and they have dealt early – out have gone Lukaku, Deulofeu and Kone and in so far have come Jordan Pickford, Michael Keane, Wayne Rooney, Sandro Ramírez and Davy Klaassen. This article will concentrate on the latter three, the attacking side of things. If you haven’t realised ...[Read More]

New FPL Transfers Manchester United Lindelof & Lukaku

New FPL Transfers Manchester United Lindelof & Lukaku Hello and welcome to New FPL Transfers Manchester United Lindelof & Lukaku. Man United have been splashing the cash again, but hey why wouldn’t you when Zlatan and Rooney are suddenly off the wage bill?! As ever, United have been linked with a whole host of players over the summer – sadly they failed to secure the services of Neymar, Messi, Ronaldo, Pele and Maradona but hey ho, life is not always plain sailing. Instead, at the time of writing, United have made two significant purchases – firstly they raided Benfica for Swedish defender Victor Lindelof and then they surprised many by grabbing Romelu Lukaku from Everton. Lindelof will be looked upon to bring some stability to a United defence that was beset by i...[Read More]

MLS GW19 Tips Fantasy Major League Soccer

MLS GW19 Tips Fantasy Major League Soccer Welcome to MLS GW19 Tips Fantasy Major League Soccer. Well, the MLS is kicking off on Tuesday this week – because why not? It’s the 4th of July, a notorious holiday for travelling, but let’s play some soccer that’s bound to have severe rotation issues anyway. Not only are players getting called up left and right for internationals still, but several teams will be coming into this round with just a few days rest. So yeah… I also have plans for the holiday, and writing out my typical ‘longer than it needs to be’ article isn’t on my list of things to do. So here’s what I can do for you all: we can list the game lines, give a few snippets of information that might be situationally relevant, and then I’ll give my captain picks. Other than th...[Read More]

MLS GW17 Tips Fantasy Major League Soccer

MLS GW17 Tips Fantasy Major League Soccer Welcome to MLS GW17 Tips Fantasy Major League Soccer. Sort of… All by myself. Don’t wanna be. All by myself. Anymore… Oh, Celine. How apt! Well it turns out that we are all by ourselves this week! This could be a classic case of ‘you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone’ as the great man himself, Mr Guy Sanchez, has finally succumbed. He sends his sincerest apologies from his sick bed. If anyone has followed Guy’s fantasy football writing career they will know that this is the most robust of robust men. We once inadvertently asked him to write three major articles in three days. He didn’t bat an eyelid and all three arrived with precision. He’s written under duress and most cer...[Read More]

MLS GW18 Tips Fantasy Major League Soccer

MLS GW18 Tips Fantasy Major League Soccer Welcome to MLS GW18 Tips Fantasy Major League Soccer. Did you all miss me last week? I wish that I could say that taking a break from writing FMLS articles was a relaxing ordeal – but truth be told, I was terribly sick for the whole week. I didn’t really believe a person could catch the flu in the summertime, but my kids brought back one last viral bomb from the public schools and proved me wrong. Hopefully your DGW’s went well last round. Apparently I set a team for myself and was cognizant enough to captain Almiron…so hooray for Nyquil making the savvy pick in my time of need. This round we don’t have to worry about DGW’s, but we do have a pair of byes to take note of (NYRB and Seattle). We also have international call-ups and domesti...[Read More]

MLS GW16 Tips Fantasy Major League Soccer

MLS GW16 Tips Fantasy Major League Soccer Welcome to MLS GW16 Tips Fantasy Major League Soccer. Last week in FMLS was pretty formulaic. You either made your transfers and maintained roughly your same lot in the game… or you forgot to make your transfers and tumbled all the way to the bottom of the pack. Moving down was easy, moving up was nearly impossible. And what could we really expect from a week like that? With only six teams playing, there wasn’t a whole lot a person could do that was savvy enough to help their cause. Shame on the MLS for making a gameweek like that – but when we signed up for this game, we knew something like that would happen. So we’ll just leave it in the past. No sense really rehashing it now, is there? This week is a bit better – it’s act...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Ramblings part 2

Fantasy Football Ramblings part 2 Welcome to Fantasy Football Ramblings part 2. Yeah, I am back, quantity over quality I say. While most FPL nuts really hate the off-season, I kinda like it. Hypothetically so many changes from day to day, even if nothing actually happens with the actual teams. I love to see the rumours fly and the fans get excited, just to feel like Wenger’s kids at Christmas when they get nothing. Unfortunately my happiness is occasionally muted by them teams who don’t just pretend to compete for top signings but go out and get them. Of course, there is always the third option, which was just invented in the last week. Compete for a top signing and then apologise. Eh???? Sometimes being the founder of the “You get nothing and you best apologise” me...[Read More]

Euro U21’s Competition, Potty Style!

Euro U21’s Competition, Potty Style! Thanks for reading Euro U21’s Competition, Potty Style! Good Evening and welcome to the launch of my Summer Competition. Given as UEFA have left all us good fantasy folk stranded with no actual competition to play I thought I would step forward to try and fill the void a bit with my own little competition, just to keep us entertained. The competition is based on the Under 21 European Tournament which starts on Friday 16th June. Screw UEFA then, let’s get on with it… Your aim is to gather as many points as possible, its that simple. Follow this link to the UEFA site to find all you need to know when selecting your men who’ll hopefully bring you European Glory (then click on the Under 21 tab). Lets Play ‘Its A Pre-Tournament ...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Ramblings part 1

Fantasy Football Ramblings part 1 Welcome to Fantasy Football Ramblings part 1. There is one thing that you can always count on from FF247, when there is a clown needed to pass the time, they send me out. They usually only let me out of the dungeon during International breaks for Bore Off articles, but seeing that this off-season is kinda depressing compared to the last couple of years, I have been called on early. Hopefully I can distract you a bit through the upcoming weeks while FPL kicks off or simply finish you off if boredom was about to kill you anyway, I am fine with either outcome. This transfer window is sure to be one of the most exciting ever, as even cash strapped (there are none) teams will look to purchase players. However if rumours of early transfer fees are any indication...[Read More]

MLS GW15 Tips Fantasy Major League Soccer

MLS GW15 Tips Fantasy Major League Soccer Welcome to MLS GW15 Tips Fantasy Major League Soccer. This shouldn’t be a long article. I mean, how could it be? Nearly the entire footballing world is on hiatus right now to allow for international games to take place. And the MLS came close to joining that group – so close. As the MLS is wont to do, they gave 16 teams a bye week to allow for international play, but they just couldn’t figure out how to let those last six teams have a week off as well. I know, right? I don’t know what’s worse: either they couldn’t schedule the last six teams to have a break because they’re incompetent, or they did this on purpose in an attempt to constantly have league play, week in and week out, to try to stay relevant. Either way, it’s total crap. Because i...[Read More]
