Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 31 Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 31. Blink and you’ll miss it, is probably the best way to describe GW31. Or blank GW31 as it is more commonly known. Just four fixtures survive the week due to the FA Cup quarter finals which are also taking place this week. Three of our games take place at 3pm on Saturday as Bournemouth are the next to have shooting practice vs West Brom, Huddersfield welcome Crystal Palace and Everton get a chance to improve their away record as they go to Stoke. Of more interest to most will be the evening kick off and the end of our game-week as Liverpool host Watford at Anfield. And that’s it! THE GAMES IN FULL Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Li...[Read More]

FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 31 Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 31. It was duller than dull but somehow 42pts brought us another green arrow, our 6th in 7 weeks. We’re so good at this. Ah the rank, well we rose a small 2.5k to 166,358…. hmmm maybe we’re not that good! Those celebrated green arrows have seen us rise from 252k to 166k. Talk about ‘Slowly, slowly catchee monkey’. At this rate we will at least achieve our stated aim of a top 10k finish… by GW57! Let’s just hope Richard Scudamore is listening! Thank the Lord, not you Pards, that we bought Mahrez a couple of weeks ago as his goal and assist made him our top scorer this week. Otamendi and Lowton both chipped in with clean sheets with the City man coll...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Tips and Captain Picks Gameweek 31

Fantasy Football Tips and Captain Picks Gameweek 31 Welcome to Fantasy Football Tips and Captain Picks Gameweek 31. We may be masochist’s in many respects but we don’t (normally!) treat our writers in the same fashion. In a week with just four fixtures, asking our Tips writer to do anything other than name the bleeding obvious seemed cruel. Asking this week’s Captain writer to knock out an article to justify anyone but a Liverpool player, and in particular one named Mo, seemed… absurd. And painful. Instead… we’ve asked them all to do both! Sort of. We’ve expanded the thought process a bit though and have asked them all a series of questions about not only BGW31 but also about their plans for the weeks ahead and also their chip strategy. And their c...[Read More]

Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW31

Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW31 Welcome to Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW31. It’s always nice when a player pops up with the first goal of the game-week that people simply did not see coming. Anyone have Marcus Rashford? No me either. Rashford scored the first goal in Man Utd 2-1 win; he then grabbed the second, as if to drive home the point. Other notable results were Swansea grabbing a 0-0 despite playing with 10 men for almost the full match, Chelsea chucking away a clean sheet at the death (2-1) and Arsenal finding their cojones not once, not twice but three times, not to mention Troy Deeney losing his. A tie at the top this week, Igy4 and Labyrinth both finished on 12pts. It was a close ran affair, with third place also shared, Mahelmy, Sam10, Jamie Mc and our very own boy-wo...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 31

Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 31 Welcome to Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 31. It’s finally arrived! BGW31 hasn’t so much been the elephant in the room who nobody dares to mention as the elephant in the room sat right on the bloody table in the middle of it. Eyeballing anybody who dares to mention a transfer without acknowledging him in some way. We should really name him, he’s been around for so long. Let’s call him Dumbo. Dumbo the BGW31 elephant. Dumbo has made people bring in Huddersfield players. Dumbo has made people double up on Everton defenders. Dumbo has made people buy 3 Liverpool players. Sometimes Dumbo isn’t that bad then. Good Dumbo. Dumbo has however even hoodwinked a few in to buying West Brom defenders! Evil Dumbo. Bu...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 30

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 30 Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 30. Our game-week kicks off with the friendly coming together of Man Utd and Liverpool at Old Trafford. A lunchtime kick off should mean that even the scousers are not completely pissed before kick off. Five 3pm matches follow – dull Everton welcome all-conquering Brighton, Huddersfield entertain Swansea, Southampton take the long and likely pointless trip to Newcastle, doomed West Brom take on Leicester and the clarets meet in London as Burnley travel to West Ham. The evening match sees Palace take the short trip north of the Thames to Chelsea. Sunday sees two matches – the comedy show that is Arsenal host Watford before North London’s no.1 go to Bournemouth. Our game-week e...[Read More]

FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 30

FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 30 Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 30. All in all GW29 was…..ok. Maybe slightly better than ok. We scored 58pts vs an average of 46 and rose 22.5k places to just 168,903. Ok that’s not great we know but it’s our highest rank for a good few weeks. We have some work to do to avoid our worst ever finish but we have all our chips available. Mahrez’s last gasp goal was especially satisfying as we only bought him last week – it was just a shame he ruined Begovic’s clean sheet but beggars can’t be choosers. We made the mistake of rolling the dice on Kane as capo and one assist at home to Huddersfield was, to be honest, a let down. Salah scored, of course. A clean sheet for Otamendi was wel...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 30

Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 30 Welcome to Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 30. What is it about blank game-weeks and double game-weeks that drive FPL managers into a frenzy? And it’s certainly not a good frenzy. Is there such a thing as a good frenzy? Probably not. I don’t know. Who cares? Apologies, I’m just rambling incoherently here. I’m only just recovering having been snowed in for four days at the end of last week. Back to my original question. We’ve all been burned by blanks & doubles in the past. Whether choosing to chase them or not chase them. And the forthcoming blank in GW31 is no different. Hands up if you were one of those who drafted in the likes of Walcott & Wilson in recent weeks? You can’t see me but I’m sat here in my office with my hand up. I look rather silly!...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 30

Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 30 2017/18 95% of the top 10k captained one of two players last week. To be exact 57.5% of them went with Salah (the correct option) and 37.5% of them went with Kane (the wrong one, as it turned out, but not by much). The point being that the choices are being condensed somewhat. You can probably add in Aguero this week, albeit with a possible Jesus caveat. Do that and it’s difficult to construct a proper Captains article without simply either pointing out the bleeding obvious or repeating what has already been said week in, week out for weeks on end. Or suggesting a plethora of punts, none of whom you are going with, let’s be honest. And so we are taking a different slant on it all this week and we have asked some of our writers to simpl...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 30

Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 30 Welcome to Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 30. Gameweek 29 saw Ben Davies – England’s best left-back – manage to clinch another clean sheet, although his performance was eclipsed by Heung-Min Son’s brace who confirmed that he really can only do it at home. Mohamed Salah scored again, but that ceased to be surprising back in August. West Brom lost again, but that ceased to be surprising at the back end of last season. Arsenal lost again, and that is just funny. The first half of the City-Chelsea game saw every football twitter page take it upon themselves to offer a live commentary. Without them I would not have known that Leroy Sane is ‘soooo good’, or that ‘Chelsea have come for a draw’, or that Mito would end the game sober if he p...[Read More]

Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW30

Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW30 Welcome to Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW30. So what did we learn this past game-week? Well Arsenal are still rubbish, perhaps that’s unfair on Brighton given their result the previous game-week, but come on, it’s 3 defeats on the bounce for the gunners now, what are the chances of it being 4 come next week? A fixture like Swansea v West Ham would have been a shoe-in for a low-score draw earlier in the season, but in recent weeks they’ve become somewhat unpredictable; a 4-1 defeat in GW28, a 4-1 win in GW29, will Huddersfield be able to keep the result respectable this week? Your guess is as good as (probably better) than mine. This week we have two sets of winners, as we reveal the results of both GW’s 28 and 29: In GW28 it was Shanec who came out ...[Read More]
