Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 12 Welcome to Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 12. Before we proceed I must warn you that I’m in a foul mood. What’s new? Well I’ve got a good reason this time. As I write this Ireland are currently playing Denmark in a crucial World Cup play-off and the score is 3-1 to Denmark. Yet the score-line isn’t actually the issue! The problem is that I’m not watching it. Instead I’m listening to it on the radio. Why? I’m in Wales! The hotel I’m staying in does not have Sky and their internet is terrible, meaning I can’t even watch it online. So, as you can see I’ve got good reason to be in a mood. Bank to FPL. Hmmm… this is unlikely to improve my mood. I’ll be honest, I love FPL but this season is really testing my patience so I desperately need a good score this week ...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 12 2017/18 Welcome to Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 12. Mito here, I can’t promise that I will get the captain picks right, but what I can promise is that I won’t recommend a Huddersfield midfielder from Australia, sorry Matt 😉 Most game-weeks the best choices stand out to all of us and sometimes it is just matter of which one you own. While I could make a case for the selections I have made, I could certainly see a reason or two not to go with them. So while I am going to try and justify my selections, perhaps I will include the drawback with each of them. Yeah, I know it seems a strange way to make a case for someone, but I gather that most of us would prefer the pros and cons of our game-week 12 boyfriend, before we go and li...[Read More]
Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW12 Welcome to Barry and Paul’s Predictions GW12. We are sure you all remember the infamous Potty’s Predictions. Well, it’s back, sort of! Same skin, new hosts. Think Countdown and Carol Vorderman. And Rachel Riley. Did we lose you for a minute there?! Get your minds back out of the gutter and back on the Chuckle Brothers. That ought to do it. So, who the heck are Barry and Paul we hear you ask? It’s simply what we affectionately refer to regular site writers Matt and Rosco as behind the scenes. And so it was only fitting that the hapless duo combined to fill the sizeable shoes of Potty to bring you the new weekly Predictions Comp. There will be prizes too. Each weekly winner will be the proud recipient of an FF247 t-shirt. So wit...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 12 Welcome to Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 12. FF247 offered the Fixtures piece to me this week and, after some heated toing and froing and a good deal of unsavoury legal wrangling*, I accepted. I was told to “break it up” and that I had a “blank canvas” to work with. Great, I thought. This is the perfect opportunity to discuss my thoughts on series 2 of Stranger Things, or perhaps this could be the ideal platform for me to divulge my definitive ranking of Mario Kart games. But then I figured that FF247 probably didn’t intend for me to go so wildly off script and that for all intents and purposes, this was a fantasy football site and my approach should still be rooted in that. Plus, I doubt anyone really cares about my musings on Mar...[Read More]
The Man City Dilemma We all know we have to own them, but it can be infuriating as heck. Do you want to pay top money for KDB and then watch his less expensive mates outscore him? Do you want Sterling and Sane and then have to deal with them being benched while KDB starts? Jesus is the guy up top, until Kun is, until both are, until Jesus is again, until Kun is again… and so on and so on. Perhaps we should avoid them and not have to worry about all that rotation? Yeah, that’s not going to work, because five of the City boys we are fixing to talk about are in the top 15 in FPL points and the one missing out, Jesus, is only 4 points from also being in that illustrious club. Perhaps if we dive into some of their stats and minutes played we will get a clearer picture or perhaps we ...[Read More]
Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fantasy Premier League 2017-18 Part 2 The International break is here and it is of course time for yet another edition of Bore Off! As ever during the international break we take the time to catch up with some of our site regulars, ask them how their seasons are going and get their thoughts on some key issues that we all want answers to. And then of course ask them some stupid questions that we all really don’t want answers to but are too intrigued to look away. We have already caught up with 3 of them but such was the clamour to be involved this week we have a bonus ‘part 2’. And so we are delighted to be joined by Serendipity, Milburn and Footy Fantastic (Guy) for part 2. Thanks for reading Grab, Avoid or Bore Off! – Fanta...[Read More]

Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 11 Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 11. Our game-week kicks off Saturday lunchtime as Leicester take the shortish route to battle Stoke at the Britannia. Following on are four 3pm matches which are four of the most boring collection of top flight matches in living history as Huddersfield host West Brom, Bournemouth travel to Newcastle, Southampton ‘entertain’ Burnley and Swansea welcome Brighton. Fortunately the Premier League have arranged for Liverpool to thump West Ham in the evening kick off in an attempt to wake us from our coma. The fun is all on Sunday – first up Crystal Palace are the latest team to visit Wembley. Sadly for the Eagles they get to play Spurs rather than fight for a trophy, but they can d...[Read More]
FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 11 Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 11. It was a poor game-week for many and we were not about to let down the masses. We didn’t even break the average, scoring just 42pts vs an average of 46, which sees our ranking drop down to 348,773. Very disappointing. In a week where a load of teams saw their vice-captain come into play, sadly ours didn’t. Richarlison (c) played, sort of, did nothing, got booked and scored a point. Idiot. Our vice-captain was ironically our highest scorer – good old Firmino, we never doubted you. Gross and Sterling scored 7 each, jeez even Alonso scored 6 with a clean sheet for once and still we fell. We should have known what was to come when we left de Gea on the bench for the early...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 11 Welcome to Fantasy Football Tips Gameweek 11. The game-week before an international break is always a tricky one for FPL managers. For some it will be chasing lost points from the week before while for others it may to build on a good week. It’s not really the ideal time to wildcard as many of the players will be travelling near and far over the next fortnight, whilst the most experienced and wise managers will look, if possible, to hold their free transfer this week in order to have two to utilise when the inevitable injuries, rest or rotation occurs when the players arrive back late from international duty. So to write your Tips article is tricky this week – but of course when the chips are down and the difficult questions need answering, FF247 turn to m...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 11 2017/18 Welcome to Fantasy Football Captain Picks Gameweek 11. If you captained Sead Kolasinac or Fernandinho last weekend, congratulations you rocked GW10! You’re also slightly unhinged and should perhaps seek medical advice (Mauricio Pochettino may be able to help, but more on that later). Unfortunately last week was a bleak affair for most of the front line captain candidates. Pep got in an early trick-or-treat prank by leaving Aguero on the sidelines, again; Kane did his hamstring in; Salah seemed determined to do everything except score against Huddersfield; and De Bruyne had an uncharacteristically quiet day. With all that in mind, how best to approach GW11? Will you play safe from the list below? Or will you try and luck out on a cava...[Read More]
Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 11 Welcome to Fantasy Football Fixture Analysis Gameweek 11. Let me begin by giving you an apology to start the article. I’m sorry I’m not as funny, witty and engaging this week as I’d like to be. I haven’t smiled all that much, and I forget what the sound of my own laugh is at this point. I run through the motions of a typical daily existence I suppose. I eat, I bathe, go to work…rinse and repeat. But the joy isn’t there for me right now, and I think that shows in my writing. And come to think of it, I’m not even angry either. It’s not as if I’d suddenly explode into rage with the slightest provocation. There is just an empty feeling. A void. How else do you expect an Everton fan to feel at this point? I honestly couldn’t be more emo right ...[Read More]
